Why are people still affected by something that happened almost century ago?

That was over a hundred years ago and new younger generations wouldn’t be as affected as older ones. WW1 was in the 20s and WW2 was in 1940s, and today is 2025/2026. Like…i really find this statement ridiculous, like バカじゃないの？

Those two wars resulted in between 65 to over 100 million deaths. There was immense destruction and much historic beauty was lost. Traditional lifestyles/cultures were destroyed and forced to change. Empires fell. The global map was redrawn in favor of the victors.

Few people know that WWI was engineered by a group of Brits who wanted to destroy Germany as an economic competitor. Those same people brought Hitler to power in order to complete the destruction of Germany and accomplish the destruction of Russia at the same time by pitting Germany and Russia against each other.

The worst results were: the USSR; the carving up of North Africa; the creation of Israel; the USA taking over as the global empire; and the institutionalization of the permanent arms manufacturing industry to create increasingly sophisticated weapons, including nukes.
All those things effect our lives today.

And the same secret power structures that engineered both of those wars are still entrenched are even more sophisticated.

Remember these: You and everyone else is the sum total all of that happened before you. There is no escape from this fact. If you fail to learn from history, then you are doomed to repeat it. This is happening right now with Trump's presidency being much like the NAZIs in the 1930s. Because people (like you, I am assuming) ignore history as if "Well, that was a long time ago; it's not going to happen again or here." then you let your guard down because you failed to learn from history WHY things happened and what WILL happen as a result. Thus, Trump... and he won't be the last of the demagogues.

These were brutal wars which were forced by autocratic regimes wishing to expand their dominions.

If you can't see a parallel with Russia and China today and be very worried you aren't sentient.

I am very dedicated to history and whilst it does not repeat it sure as hell rhymes. I think part of understanding history is putting yourself back into those time and imagining what your experience would have been like.

After WWI, in Australia, avenues of honor were planted for each fallen soldier. Some of them go for miles. Each tree representing a guy - like you and I - who ran into machine guns, shit scared and died a very painful death.

We should remember if we want to avoid that ourselves.

World War I was 1914-18. Either way, those wars (WW1 & 2) changed the map multiple times.

Those wars resulted in the formation of the UN, and set the stage for the Korean War that altered the geopolitical and sociopolitical landscape forever.

Imperial Japan is no more. Korea is no longer a vassal state of Japan or China.

Oddly enough it took WW2 for Japan and part of Korea to enter the modern industrial world.

Despite the death caused by WW2 both nations are better off.

Imagine you went to war and sufferent undescribable horrors that psycholoically broke you. Imagine now you're coming back home and you're having a child. You think that child will grow up to be psychologically fine? That's why war impacts so many generations after it happened. And that's just the psychological aspect. There's financial aspects that work similarly.

Because they developed cultural characteristics. That I have extended to this day. Think in terms of Woodrow Wilson presidency. Think in terms of Adolf Hitler forming the National Socialist German Workers Party in 1921. There are still modern socialist and fascist parties, like the Democrat Party.
