What is entrapment, and when are police stings legal?

I hear others say police stings are in entrapment. I dunno what that means really. But many times stings have been done and courts ok’d them. All I know entrapment is illegal

Stings are almost always legal. And entrapment is when a government agent or cop makes you do something you otherwise wouldn't do on your own. Like if an undercover cop suggests a thief go shoplift, that's ok. But if he asks that thief to commit murder and helps them pursue that end, its entrapment.

A good example was the attempted kidnapping of Gretchen Whitmer. It was a militia group (mostly drinking buddies) but the FBI joined their group undercover and were the ones who suggested the kidnapping. That was entrapment.

@blackeagle007 sure… after the FBI talked them into the plot. Yes that was entrapment. The FBI had 12 informants in the organization AND 2 FBI agents. At that point it was there wasn’t many people left in the club that that didn’t know the FBI was involved.

"Entrapment" is some libtard bullshit.
A drug dealer pissed me off, so I helped the cops set him up for a sting.

They sent in a confidential informant and the dealer sold him drugs. He tried to cry about entrapment but the fact is, he was selling illegal prescription drugs and he was busted!

Call it entrapment or call it whatever you want, but you sold the illegal drugs, bitch. You shouldn't have pissed me off in the first place, bitch! 😜

He messed with the wrong person. I was his taxi driver and he refused to pay me after owing me hundreds. He told me to fuck off and he lost. Him and his wife went to prison and their daughter went into foster care.
He should have just paid his debt.
