Elon also predicts that in 10 years, although money will still exist, most things will be free due to the abundance created by the billions of robots. Scientists can I already store information at the atomic level, so I don't see it as much of a jump to start manipulating atoms to create whatever humans need.

Keep in mind that in the 1950s Walt Disney predicted that someday you'll be able to use your telephones for video calls. People thought he was batshit crazy, and now even kids have those phones in their back pocket.

It's doable. I actually invented a key component of an Ai TRAINER in or around 2008 on a Physics discussion board. We deleted the post because we decided that it would be unethical to build a computer that would literally be smarter than any human alive.

I didn't invent an entire AGI mind, but I did invent a key software and hardware component of the system to network an neural net to a classical computer and vice versa.

And who really believes that most things will be free because billionaires make even more money when even today they like to avoid taxes like the plague? And what is stopping him to use his hundreds of billions already today to make things cheap or free for others?

I never once heard Elon say that AGI is already here. He's always said it will be in the future. And if Open AI did have it, then Chat GPT would be boasting it all over the place.

I've never once heard Elon promising free stuff. He's predicting free things will come in a more advanced civilization. I believe the free stuff will come in about 30 to 50 years though and not 10.

I certainly don't think billionaires are responsible for giving their money away.

We're talking about a civilized world with robots that can create anything by manipulating matter. Remember when Elon went up in space and saved the astronauts with this SpaceX crew?

Remember when Elon's Starlink helped Ukrainians in the war by giving them back communication?

And remember Elon's work to implant devices in paraplegics and quadriplegics to help them walk again?

I don't think he's all that bad of a guy.
