The current LLM's are shit; they remind me of parrots echoing back what we say but not knowing what they are saying. This is why they hallucinate so much.

I bet it will be in about 10 years. There are many tech companies working on AI improvement. AI is slowly becoming part of our daily lives. I believe it's going to cause more harm than good. I'm a bit scared of it.

I am not too keen on AI; sure, there are benefits to it... but it can also be severely abused.

AI 'Art' is in my opinion *not* Art; sure, it can still look nice... but it is not Art.

AI needs human input and things that came before, there won’t be an AI that can create something new without interface, pre determined logic, data to learn from, etc. Until it can magically create a lion just by thinking about it without any prior knowledge / database, it won’t be “too” intelligent. AI has ulterior motives and that is control and censorship. There is an AI website where you can make videos for YouTube, but it censors what you want to say. It is a very dangerous and slippery slope.

AI is basically machine learning detecting patterns. It is quite primitive. to get to hgher categories will take a lot of time

I don’t think this will ever happen. I am, admittedly, a non-expert on this. But basic logic would dictate no AI could know anything more than the programmers who created it. The program runs faster than human brains and can call up human ideas based on human strategies (like AI chess).

But what you’re talking about is AI writing its own intelligence. Seems outlandish to me. Consciousness seems impossible to reproduce electronically.
