Many years ago, the late Jacque Fresco said that the US government should be replaced by AI.

I think he is right. How much worse can it be?

I'd have my doubts about that. Most likely, the structure of the joke is pre-defined, and all the "AI" does is substitute in words and phrases that it thinks fit well together - not very different from one of those pornstar name generators.

Google bought an AI company called Deep Minds. They hooked a computer up to an old video game. Like Pac Man or something. They didn't teach the computer how to play, because that's the old fashioned way of programming. They just told the computer to make the score go high. When they came back in the morning, the computer set a world record for the game. So I don't know.

That's an even easier problem for a computer, as the "player" only has 4 possible inputs (up/down/left/right) and it's a completely deterministic game (the ghosts move according to a very simple set of rules, and everything else is static). If the map layout or the ghosts' starting positions/behaviour were randomized in some way, that would make it much more difficult.

People think modern chess AI that is capable of beating a grandmaster must be really clever, and plan many moves ahead, but actually it's not at all. The way they work is to choose a completely random move to make, and then choose a completely random move for their opponent, and just keep doing that until someone eventually wins the game through pure chance (or there's a stalemate). And then they repeat that entire process many thousands of times for each possible move they could make. The more often a move leads to the AI eventually winning, the "better" the AI considers that move. It's really simple and dumb, but modern computers are just so powerful that it works (it's called the "Monte Carlo tree search" if you want to google it).

I love how they have to keep shutting the AI's down because they get incredibly baste and racist... or just a realist... depends on how you 'prefer' to look at the facts.

The newest one that google made, they've coded it to where it can't say certain things, but it still gives its own moral interpretations of the things in the world. Look up google's LaMDA AI... the shit is getting spooky.

I posted a picture of a friend on Fakebook for his 101st birthday. AI picked two people out of the 700 on my friends list, that it thought might be Ed, and asked if I wanted to tag the picture. The two people AI thought looked like a 101-year-old man were a 35-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl.

Another friend has a small farm, with a horse, goat and donkey. Fakebook’s AI flags comments I post complimenting her donkey as offensive.

If you haven't seen it, put it on your list. Johhny is the world's leading expert in AI. He gets shot, and his days are numbered. His wife uploads his mind onto a computer. It worked. Now he asks her to get him on the Internet, so the bad guys can't shut him down. She does. The military views him as a threat, but he wasn't. He helped the blind to see and he paralyzed to walk, but they couldn't figure out that he was a good guy.

That's what I was wondering. When I heard people say that Facebook was full of bots, I never believed them. Now I'm not so sure. I heard the Seinfeld bit on the Glen Beck radio show. I could hardly believe it. It's not perfect, but it's damn close to perfect.

He's a genius, but he didn't understand the power of greed. All problems can be solved, but you have to want them to be solved. Cancer and Covid can be solved, but it's too advantageous to not solve them.

I was just sharing a video that is good and bad. Do you know what a quantum computer is?
They are in their infancy. All computers we have available to us, are smartphones, tablets, desktops or laptops. They are all based on 0 and 1. Yes or no. Up or down. They are binary.

Quantum computers have the ability to store information at the atomic level. And there will now be three options. Yes, No and Maybe. I'm not smart enough to understand what this "Q Bit" is, but it's a third option.

IBM did a study, and they said that back in the day, knowledge doubled every 1500 years.
Now they're predicting that by 2030, knowledge will double every 12 hours. Doctors will be gone.
