What are men's views on polygamy?

I used to be Polyamours We were solo poly, so we both dated independently. I think polyamory is a perfectly valid lifestyle. Polygamy, on the other hand, is toxic. It is unfair to women, as they only get one man, but he gets multiple women. It is extremely toxic for the women involved. They will often become jealous and neglected, and that can lead to abuse.

It's toxic for men as well. Not only because it's an undue burden for them to have multiple wives since there are fewer women for men, many of those men turn to violence. This is why polygamous cultures are the most violent. See Islam.

I’m a woman, and I’m totally against polygamy. I believe a healthy relationship should be built on mutual love, loyalty, trust, and commitment. I want a partner who chooses me wholeheartedly, not someone who wants multiple partners. Of course, everyone has their own views, but polygamy is simply not something I could accept in my relationship.

Polygamy is for men and women equally. I think you're thinking of polygyny. I've seen YouTube videos where the women were practicing polyandry.
But no matter how you slice it, I think it's a recipe for disaster.

You're right about the terminology. Polygamy can apply to both men and women, while polygyny refers to a man having multiple wives and polyandry to a woman having multiple husbands. Personally, I'm against all forms of polygamy because I value exclusivity, loyalty, and commitment to one partner. I understand that others may choose differently, but it's not the kind of relationship I would want for myself.

I think it could work in some scenarios... with certain peoples, but no doubt has complexities.

Ukraine/Russia could be in this scenario if they keep losing men.

What i noticed about polgamists is that theyve at least 2 reasonably attractive wives and the others are ugly or overweight used as beasts of burden to earn money or maintain the home.

It turns out to be a terrible system because it leaves a number of young men unable to find a partner. As we see constantly, sexually frustrated young men tend to lash out.

If a man is silly enough to take on more than one woman at a time, let him. LOL I don't think it should be illegal, but there would have to be adjustments to marriage law. For example, attaining citizenship, tax breaks, etc.

However, on second thought, my ex and our girlfriend used to all have a lot of fun together. My ex was definitely quite bi, and our girlfriend found out she was quite bi the two of them used to enjoy each other quite a bit and, I guess, enjoy me as well. It was very rough on the bedroom furniture, particularly the mattress, but we remedied that eventually.
