It's not an investment. Its only function is as a medium of exchange between criminals. It can serve that purpose trading at 1c of $1 million. Hence the price is pure speculation.

What makes one currency any more or less moral than another? The threat of the government force behind it; nukes and aircraft carriers?

As far as speculation, belief is the only thing that props up the price of the dollar or any currency other than Gold and Silver. There not enough gold backing 41T+ debt USD in Fort Knox.
There are other arguments against crypto, but these are weak.

- Means of exchange
- Store of value
- Unit of account

Bitcoin has high transaction costs and a volatile value. That makes it a bad currency for most purposes. Which is why it is almost exclusively used by criminals.

35 40 years ago a guy came to my house he told me I could buy I think it was 12 Bitcoin for $20 he explained the whole thing to me I thought it was probably a scam but I did it anyway because I collect coins and I liked the way they looked he came back the next week and I bought 12 more for $20 and then I didn't see the guy anymore

There's a guy that I know he bought a property that I was taking care of and he is a billionaire because when the Bitcoin thing was happening he has some gold he sold it he has some property he sold that his parents loaned him some money on their house and he jumped into the Bitcoin thing and he stayed up for nights because it would split and it would split and it would split and he was very smart guy but he ended up becoming a billionaire over this and then he had an invention that he sold to the Army for millions of dollars but yeah that guy did good I couldn't even following Bitcoin because like I said I thought it was a scam at first but I wish I would have kept going I wish that guy would have kept coming around because I would have kept talking to him more and more about it and understood it better

The scammers will eventually get you Bitcoin savvy after they get your trust.

They'll tell you how rich they are and teach you how to do the Bitcoin and get you to invest in it. Then you see your money 🤑 double, and put more into it. But when you want to withdraw your money, they freeze your account.

Because all along it's the scammers fake 🏦, or I should say they open up a brand new bank, but it's a scam bank.

That's how they steal your money 💰

KYC means your data is being shipped off to some third world shithole's servers, or the USA, in perpetuity. There is no privacy where exchanges are concerned, so it makes the whole endeavour not what you want it to be, if you're concerned your own nation's currency is being wilfully inflated..

I'd rather sell on and take the small hit then invest in that crap going forward.

To some degree bitcoin is a more secure investment than western currencies which are due a debt crisis due to gross irresponsibility and fiscal incontinence from governments.

I never invested in Bitcoin. I regreted that I didn't buy it when it was cheap but by the time it was on the news I was like by now everybody knows about it so I'm not gonna buy it now. Also these crypto trading places are not very secure either as we saw with FTX for example. Crypto is probably mostly useful for Criminals and Chinese people trying to get their money out of the country. A regular person is most likely not going to benefit.
