Is it time for conservatives to stop worrying about being called names?

So, leftists have often used isms (racism, sexism etc) to "win" arguments. It's been going on for many years. I've been attacked with them many times, including recently.

Don't like this policy we are setting? Sexist

Don't want to support this black criminal? Racist!

Support something conservative? Fascist!

What happens is that it puts the conservative off balance where he or she has to defend themselves as opposed to discussing the issue at hand. It's an effective combating tool, and it's why the left often uses it. Who wants to be associated with things in western society that are viewed very negatively? Once you begin defending yourself it just gives them more ammunition.

Metatron, a popular historical youtuber posted a video about no longer caring. He stated he just accepts it. 🤷‍♂️ it means nothing. Call him a grifter? White supremacist? Fascist? Etc. He just replies "ya, so what?" He Found defending himself never helped, and just accepting it turned the tables.

The truth is, these words have lost meaning, and have been literally changed to suit the leftist argument. Think of how the term racism has changed in just the last 20 years.

Maybe it's time to just "ya? So? Idc?" And then they have nothing to argue with.

It's basically like saying "you are so gay!" As an insult, and replying "so? What if I am?"

It's just pointless to deal with. I've been called this dozens of times here. 🤷‍♂️

The terms “racist” and “sexist” have not lost all meaning. Just because people use words entirely improperly, that doesn’t mean the meaning of the word changes.
The better response is to have a better understanding of debate and recognize strawman arguments, non sequiturs and ad hominem attacks as soon as they are presented. Then you point out that your opponent has no facts on which to argue their point and that is why they resorted to those distractions and deflections.
You are almost never going to change the mind of someone with whom you’re debating. Your ability to make strong points and back them up with sound logic and empirical evidence is for the benefit of onlookers. People whose minds might not be made up or they’re at least open minded enough to entertain new ideas and do some contemplating and fact checking after the debate has ended.
If you haven’t already watched Charlie Kirk and his successors, invest some time in that. Notice how the people who walk up to the mic are, more often than not, there to fight rather than to exchange ideas and learn. Charlie knew that. Rather than lowering himself to their level, he presented strong points and facts to back them up, for the crowd of onlookers. For the open minds, not the closed ones.
There’s an old saying, “Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.” I used to believe that until i saw Kirk in action. He was absolutely masterful at letting idiots make fools of themselves. There’s another old saying, “If you’re not careful when you argue with an idiot, people watching might not be able to tell you apart.”
Keep the high ground and make sure onlookers can tell you apart from the idiots.
Words matter. They don’t lose their meaning just because idiots misuse them, regardless of how often or for how long. Don’t give in to willful ignorance.

Name calling is an effective tactic used by socialists and communists (today known as Democrats) to distract weak minded people from the fact that their entire ideology is evil and corrupt. The way to deal with it is to punch right through (figuratively) and ignore it because truth, facts and reason are far more powerful weapons than name calling when used effectively.
