There is too much to unpack on this thread, but I will say we are nearing halfway through Trump's second-term presidency and things are in shambles.
1. He downplays the affordability crisis and its impact on everyday Americans, especially younger generations feeling left astray
2. The inflation is crippling, and the cost of essentials such groceries, fuel, utility bills, rent/housing, healthcare, and repairs/maintenance are squeezing Americans thin.
3. There is too much uncertainty about white-collar career pursuits, and AI is already posing a threat to well-paying, middle-class roles. Tens of thousands of layoffs have already been attributed to AI automation with much more expected to come. There is little assurance or guidence on what avenues or safe fallbacks there are when mass displacement happens.
4. He emphasizes support for our law enforcement, but fails to acknowledge/mention our firefighters and other first responders when they need it the most. We are in the midst of a critical nationwide shortage of volunteer firefighters and other emergency service personnel. Meanwhile, also impacting fire services and EMS agencies nationwide are the shortages of fire apparatus, ambulances, and other emergency vehicles, forcing agencies to have to wait 4+ years to acquire a new fire engine. When that firefighter died at a Trump rally during the assassination attempt, you would have thought it would have renewed a strong support for not only our law enforcement but also our fire-rescue and other first responders too. NFPA reports these manpower shortages are a crisis that gains very little attention. This needs to be addressed promptly!
5. We most certainly did not see lower grocery prices "on day one." We didn't see the Russian/Ukraine war end with just "one phone call." We didn't see the DOGE savings benefit us. What we did reach is over $40 Trillion in national debt.
6. Where are the arrests? How are corrupt politicians and bad actors being held accountable?

people have forgotten what things were like just a short 2 years ago. Inflation was 9.9% the highest since the Carter administration and that figure was derived without counting gas which was over 5 dollars a gallon. Going to the supermarket was a weekly adventure. The prices would go up every week. Crime was exploding and taxes were going through the roof. So was the cost of electricity.
President Trump's second term has been excellent except for going to Iran. He overshot his skis but it is still a relatively small problem that will be solved soon.
The Biden regime was a disaster in its own way. Trump's second term is not much better. Paying over $3 a gallon in gas (almost $4) is not pleasant at all, considering fuel was $2.70 more than a year ago. When diesel reached what it has been lately, we are fucked. I am already noticing empty slots on the shelves at the grocery store. Transportation costs impacts the cost of goods.
still better than 5 bucks and as soon as we are done with Iran it will go back down It is already going down.
Comparing apples to oranges. When fuel prices, especially diesel, are as high as they are today, it creates a domino effect on the price of goods. From mass surveillance to the government being able to shut off your car to fire departments crumbling to heightened homeland security threats to white-collar job displacement to homeownership being out of reach for younger generations, it is not a good look.
I think too many young people embrace victimhood.
No, see, that is the boomer fallback: claiming younger generations are just "entitled", "weak", or "lazy". I will tell you, I spent years and countless nights and hours educating myself on multiple programming languages, frameworks, libraries, and tools. I learned fullstack development, databases, cloud technologies, deployment, and management. The list is so exhaustive and in depth, I cannot post all of it on this reply. Before that, I was an EMT working 24 hour shifts, sometimes working 96 hours straight to the point I was drowsy equivalent to an intoxicated person. I both saved lives and built apps. I am exceptionally skilled and trained. I now work security handling criminal matters, conduct issues, and medical emergencies at a large facility. I have worked since age 14, and I have very little to show for it. Boomers worked their typical 40 hours a week/5 days a week and were able to support a family and own a middle class home. Today I live paycheck to paycheck with no room for emergencies.
55 isn’t the boomer generation, nitwit. You’re so well educated and you don’t even know that? 🫵🤡😂😂😂😂
You worked a million hours on a million high value jobs but you couldn’t save a dime? And it’s someone else’s fault that you’re “paycheck to paycheck”? I’m calling BS. You made bad decisions and rather than accept responsibility for your mistakes, apathy or arrogance, you’re in the denial stage. You’re not half as smart as you’re trying to convince us if you are working paycheck to paycheck right now. Full stop. Make better choices. Nobody is coming to save you from yourself. Quit lying about your accomplishments and go actually accomplish something for a change. Do the f*cking work. THAT is the difference between you and the older generations that you so despise. We DID THE WORK! You walked in after we earned our lifestyles through hard work and determination and believed your democrat overlords when they told you we were just gifted everything we earned.
Quit making excuses and DO THE DAMN WORK!!!
@IHaveRespawned when I bought my first house interest rates were 12%. It was a 3 year adjustable rate. At the time we were living from paycheck to paycheck. If interest rates had gone up after the 3 years we probalby would have lost the house.
I lived by my wits. Instead of paying a big gas bill to heat the house, I got a wood stove and cut my own firewood. I was working full time and going to college t night. it was no picnic.
"5. We most certainly did not see lower grocery prices "on day one." We didn't see the Russian/Ukraine war end with just "one phone call." We didn't see the DOGE savings benefit us. What we did reach is over $40 Trillion in national debt."
He reallocated that funding which is why Elon got mad at him.
Don't forget how suspicious the republican party was surrounding the Epstein files even going so far as to say they released them but it was a link to the Rickroll song.
Americans needs something more like Restore then the Republicucks.
I don't know when he first appeared on the scene and got into politics. I remarked to my then girlfriend as I was driving through the Mojave desert in the middle of the night" we are going to have trouble with this guy". Little did I know what an accurate remark that was. I had the sense at the time that he was mentally ill perhaps long before others did. And of course, everything he's done since then has just reinforced that initial impression. My pity and my contempts for him have just grown over the years and continue to grow now as he makes an ever greater mess of my country. I don't think we are ever going to recover from this.
The insane Tariffs he created. Only made prices and inflation go up.
About 1979 when Reagan was running for President.
you'd rather vote for open borders and communism?
Of course NOT! Xiden was a disaster. Kamalatoe would have been just as bad! Neither party right now is representing the average, everyday American.
They never will. Half the country is furious the other half has problems with somalians stealing billions in tax dollars and feel that maybe they shouldn't be in this country.
I am furious either way. I am like Margorie Taylor Greene and Tucker Carlson: I am politically homeless
There have never been open borders. That is a pernicious lie used to promote the supposed presence of a boogeyman that you can then supposedly save people from. I literally live by the fucking border and if there had been an open border. Believe me I would have seen that. I didn't. Instead, what I see are a bunch of people trying to promote a conspiracy theory that doesn't have an ounce of Truth to it.
As for Somalians stealing billions in tax dollars, you've got the wrong people there. Trump and his associates have stolen billions in tax dollars along with the billionaires. Get your feelings straightened out.
@msc545 10 million illegals streamed over the border during Biden. So you're full of shit.
Somalians have stolen billions. The ones that haven't are living on welfare So you're full of shit x2.
Offer some proof for either of the things you've said. Saying things doesn't make them true, but it makes you look like an asshole if you don't have proof.
@msc545 www.depledgeswm.com/.../
https://budget.house.gov/download/ogr-icymi Both points proven so now kindly eat shit.
So the government printed some money, so what? That does not prove a single thing you lied about.
@msc545 so you don't understand supply and demand, eh? Not surprising.
So you don't understand that posting ridiculous videos from questionable sites doesn't impress anybody. Yeah, not surprising.
@msc545 what the fuck are you talking about?
