I put mine to "in a relationship" once because there were like four guys on Facebook who wouldn't stop asking me out. But it didn't turn out to be the best idea because once I changed it to that all my friends and family kept asking me who I was dating and I had to keep explaining to them why I set it to that and most of them thought I was lying about it so...
Just be honest with guys if you don't want to date them.
Even if you do your best not to hurt their feelings they let themselves be hurt anyway.
Besides I would rather be hurt with the truth than satisfied with a lie. I hate liars.

for those that do lie, its a scar in your life like people will remember and it gets documented in a way and you can't keep lies forever one day or another someone on your friends list will mention it in person and you'll be put on the spot
I haven't but people probably think I do. I only put my status as "In a relationship" But I didn't put with whom. I am in a relationship, I just didn't add my boyfriend because there are people on my Facebook who like to snoop and get involved in things that are none of their business :S
I didn't have my relationship set on Facebook but when I broke up with my girlfriend I set my status to single but I set it so that only the girl I like saw it and nobody else. I don't want everybody knowing everything.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I was the first person on Facebook to be married to themself. (it came just after they connected the high school and college Facebooks).

Could have forgotten to change it to single after his last one, but I only see women that put "In a relationship" when they aren't, it's to get guys to leave them alone.
Well I had made a new Facebook page & I wanted everyone to be able to find it so I married myself until I deleted the old one. But that's basically it.
Not on Facebook but I did on Myspace. I used to get a lot of messages from random guys hitting on me on Myspace so I set it to say I was in a relationship to try to ward them off lol
