Why do people block someone on Facebook who didn't do anything wrong?

Ok, I understand if somebody deletes a person for whatever reason, blocks somebody who has been annoying and so on.

But this one is a mystery to me. Why would you block somebody who didn't do anything wrong? Any ideas?

Hrmm. Well, if I were to block a girl on Facebook, it's most likely because I want her bad enough that I'm stalking her Facebook page at least once a day. And doing so only feeds that hunger of wanting her even more.

So the better option is to block her to stop myself from knowing what's going on with her, where she's at, who she's talking to, and so on. It's none of my business anyway, and it could only inspire jealousy behavior which can put more emotional burden on my end.

It's not that she did anything wrong, it's what I"M DOING WRONG.

Ok. And if she was a "friend" (not even a good one, rather friend of your friends) for the last few months and you never made a move on her (= seems to me that not interested)?

maybe he/she doesn't you to keep contacting them. otherwise I can't think of any other reason really. he/she is just a very hateful person. and wants hurt you in every possible by doing things like that. they are letting you know, I don't want anything to do with anymore. that's what that messages sends to me.

I think the same way. But it doesn't make any sense to me cause I barely know him. Ok, I've greeted him, did stuff together with him and some other friends, liked or commented on his Facebook... nothing bad, not even an important person. I don't even care about him and so does he... I supposed. But now I'm asking myself what the heck I did wrong?

maybe he has a girlfriend. and doesn't her know you are contacting him. if you barely know him, then that makes sense to me. if I have a strange contacting me, and I don't like her I would block her. or if I have a girlfriend already

Hm... I was neither interested in him nor contacting him in such a way... neither was I a stranger. And I think it's just normal to contact people you pass time with once in a while? Actually I think that he has lots of female friends. If it was for some jealous girlfriend, wouldn't he have to block ALL other girls? Why not simply kick them, what's far easier?

i don't know to be honest. he seems like a strange character to me. its just best to forget about him. its his loss really. sorry to this but you will meet people like that. and their won't ever find out a reason for their behavior towards you. just move on, the guy is obviously not worth your time. I have experienced people like that as well.

don't try and reason with unreasonable people. don't try make sense out of people that don't make sense to you. it never works, move on, and forget about them. that's my philosophy to life. life is to short to be giving your time to people like that.

Iif you didn't bother them? I mean if it's only for not interacting with somebody anymore, why do the work of blocking? A feel kind of a stalker and I'm not...

You don't have to bother someone for them to be bothered with you, there may be some misunderstanding or there's the chance they just don't like you. You said you didn't bother them so I'm assuming your now blowing up their page, so you shouldn't feel like a stalker :o.
