My dental fillings(the white kind) feel chalky, like they are disintegrating, any idea what to do?

Besides getting them replaced. Has anyone had this happen? It is with all my fillings (4-5)

There can be 2 issues I know of. 1) The white fillings were not properly "cured." This happens when the dentist does a bad job of putting the filling in and it does not dry well within the cavity. 2) The white filling was not smoothed down after being inserted.

there may be other reasons but these are what I know of. I just had 2 white ones put in and the dentist did a good job.

It could just be decay growing on your filling, try really cleaning them.
