Why did he block me, unblock me, then blocked me again on Facebook?

So my ex and I had a rough break up, he blocked me on Facebook. Then about a month later I looked up and I was unblocked. I never added him as a friend, just pretended like I didn't know he unblocked me. Then I ended up going to a party and he was there, he talked to me first (which was surprising) and I left like 10 min later. Then about 3 days later he blocked me again? Why would he do this?

he still has feelings and anger at the same time, he feels in in control of his feelings when he can shut you out from his life/any sort of connection like Facebook. he needs closure. at the party he probably felt like you didn't care about him anymore so now he blocked you for good.

He's probably still into you and usually keeps you blocked, but, he can't check out your FB stuff unless he unblocks you. If he unblocks you, he has to wait several days, or a week before he can block you again.

You may have hurt him by saying something at the party or he saw you were over him or it was just to painful to see you so he blocked you.
