Are guys more honest when they are drunk?

Ive been dating this guy since December and he's very unemotional/stoic. BUT when he's drunk he practically can't stop staring at me. At first I was like what the hell but then he would stare at me and start gushing. Telling me how pretty I am etc. However its only when he's been drinking...when he's sober I will ask him like hey do you remember when you were drunk last night and called me pretty? hell just look at me and say yes and its true. Why can't guys just say stuff when they are sober lol

It's unfortunate but a lot of us guys are basically hammered with the idea that "we have to be macho and we can't show emotions" etc etc.

Alcohol is usually an excuse for us to say what we want to say, and then blame it on the alcohol.

Just tell your guy not to be a dumbass and that you like it when he tells you you are pretty and that he doesn't need to drink to tell you that!

Yeah...as guys we tend to suck at communication when it comes to emotions/feelings/compliments. But also keep in mind you guys haven't been together that long...he should gradually open up more as you guys become more comfortable with each other.

yeah he's starting too. In January he wouldn't do any PDA now hell put his arm around me. We haven't kissed yet in public but I think I've proven that I'm WAY better than his exes. He's afraid to get hurt again
