Do people say truth when they are Drunk?

My boyfriend went to party with friends and got drunk he came back and called me started with why don't i call him whole time i like giving him space so i didn't call because he was enjoying with friends then after few minutes he started to tell me how much he loves me he can't live without me and feels jealous of other guys who talk to me he hates my ex boyfriend ( he never said this jealousy part when he is sober ) he started to vent about lot of things like how his cousins criticize him and how badly he want to show me to them he said lot of things that he never said when he is sober my question is do people spill their heart out when they get drunk?

In my own personal experience I find this question hard to answer. It all depends on what level drunk you are. If you're totally wasted a lot of people say stuff they don't mean, but if they're coherent enough to hold a sentence, than there is some truth.

Some do. Some still have complete control of thier senses and just use the illusion of inebriated to manipulate the situation.

For example: you profess your feelings to a woman while "drunk". If she accepts you then your in there. If she rejects you then the next day you have plausible deniability. You can say "what! I asked her out? Eww gross! She's ugly. Why didn't somebody stop me"!🤣

Alcohol isn't a truth syrum. It's a social equalizer.

Yes and no, while I can come out with bollox when sober, when I’m drunk I come out with complete utter bollox

A bit of truth but also quite a bit of spice can be added from the alcohol. What I mean by that is that you can feel bother by things that are not truly so bothersome in actual life. And so things can be exaggerated a lot
