He said things wouldn't work out between us then why he's acting like he still likes me?

After 2 years, I finally get up the courage to tell my ex that I still likes him. Me and everyone else think he still likes me too. He hasn't been dating and still has his eyes on me every time we are working together. He still does favours for me. Anyway, after he rejected me I kept my distance. I'll talk if he asked me something otherwise I mind my own business. He has been very moody/grumpy lately at work and around everyone else. I still catch him stealing looks at me when he thought I wasn't looking. The reason we broke up was that he thought he couldn't be the one to make me happy. He's very shy and insecure and given that he's 29 he has only been in 2 relationship. He told me that he doesn't see us getting back together because he frustrate me and I wasn't happy. I don't know why he is not willing to try again if he still likes me and I feel like his feelings for me is still very strong. every time I'm around, his face lights up and he's always smiling. But when I ignore him he gets moody easily. He still doesn't like my guy friends. He would be rude to them. Guys, can you please help me out here? :'( why is he denying that he still likes me?

because he is indecisive and he wants to keep you at arms lenght until he finds someone better (of course he will never find anyone better) You should erase this guy out of your life because he is a complete jerk. I have had experiences like those before and trust me he knows you are vulnerable... You sound like a sweet girl and any decent guy would be lucky to have you, just find the strength in you to move on

He never denied liking you; he just throught you weren't happy with him. He knows he has problems relating to people,is shy and insecure. He knows it better than you do!

If you want him back, you'l lhave to tell him that you will take him even with his personality flaws. He won't come after you; but he still wants to be with you, but only if you reassure him that you will accept him for who he is!

Then why does he said he never see us getting back together? sounds to me like he never want to be with me again :( I told him I'm happiest with him and he still doesn't buy it. I don't know what to do anymore so I left him alone.

I think he needs a LOT of reassurance. Telling him once you're happiest with him may not be enough! You may have to repeat yourself, I'm afraid, since he's SO insecure.

Lol I don't think people likes to hear that they are insecure. Plus I don't want to appear pushy. I want him to want to be with me. I don't want to make him be with me. That is just forcing him.

It wouldn't hurt to be honest..and tell him he seems very insecure, and ask him why. You might hear a very long story!

well I kind of know why he's insecure. his ex girlfriend cheated on him with his best friend and later dump him. Plus, he's anti social and only stay home to play his computer games. He's very geeky and although he's not the best looking guy I still think he's the cutest.

Move on to what? If there's nothing to move on to yet, why not stay and enjoy the view?

Guys are quite capable of enjoying the moment, without "a relationship" having to be "going somewhere".

That's why you never see guys fretting over "Where is this going?" the way girls do. We can just enjoy it for what it is.

You mean he enjoy having my attention? He seems jealous/upset when I don't give him any attention and when I'm having fun with other people. What I don't get is its been 2years++ and he still has his eyes on me and yet he doesn't seem to want to get back
