I'm 24, almost 25 and still haven't finished college yet, no college degree, anyone know of anyone else

in the same boat? mainly because I'm still unsure on what I want to do with my life, still having a very hard time deciding what I want to do in terms of a career, have gone to community college on and off, other times just working entry-level jobs, minimum-wage jobs, anyone know anyone who didn't graduate college until a later than average age?

It's really not that weird. Many people get out of the military at 22, so they are entering full-time college at that age. Others get caught up with other priorities and take courses at night or whatever. Don't let society tell you that by your mid-20's you need to have already graduated college and have a few years experience working for your dream company in the city of your choice. Tough times have made that unreachable for many. Focus on yourself, but realize you're not the only one in a crappy situation.

I graduated at 24. I took 2 extra years because I was unsure, finally finished ASAP in psychology just so I could say I'm a graduate. Most of the people I know are still in school (whether it's grad school or undergrad), or just finished up. Then again most of the people I know are my age LOL, I'm 27.

I have been really struggling with finding a decent job, but I recently enrolled in a community college again for a completely different field. I will have an associates degree in Computer Networking by the spring.

'i got my associate's and saw that no jobs were gonna be for me. On top of that I saw that getting a higher degree was gonna screw me even more. So I just went to work. I work two jobs and live completely alone. Education after high school is a scam for many majors. I'd only recommend it to something like a medical field. Avoid majors like psychology, teaching, and lawyers. Teaching and lawyer jobs are so overpopulated that your chances at getting a job are so slim. You'll just end up doing this

It's common hun, don't worry. It's better to be in college for a long time and get the RIGHT degree; the degree that will make you happy and improve your life in the long run. Rather than being in college for four years and rushing yourself out with a less than satisfactory degree to appease the thoughts of others

i have friends who didn't have a degree. it would be good to pursue one , if you can't do it on full time basis, go for a part time one even though it could be very tough to juggle between your day job and the course. I did my part time degree in the past too :)

I just turned 25 and I'm graduating this year. I feel so old. Lots of people graduate college way later than that. I have a class with 4 people over 40. I'll also be going to graduate school so I'll be 27 when I get my master's.

It's not bad at all. Not having a degree by 22 isn't very unusual at all. It could seem unusual to Americans but in many countries worldwide there is mandatory national service that lasts to up to two, three and sometimes even four years!

In those countries it isn't unusual that the average college graduation age can even be above 25. Also considering the fact that you'd probably be working somewhere between 40 to 50 years of your life, finishing your degree to or three years later doesn't make things a lot different.

I just turned 26 this Sept. I only recently got my Associates Degree earlier this year and had been in Comm. College on/off since 2008. I graduated from HS in 2005 and it took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to do with myself. I had several things happen that slowed me down. I just transferred to a 4 year to get my B.S.

I recently met a woman in her early 30's who had a child at 19 and couldn't go to college until later. She is currently going to school for her Bachelors and still has a few semesters left.

32 here, decided I wanted an engineering degree when I was 28. Spent 8 years of my 20's in the Navy and in a machine shop with bitter old guys. Probably won't get my Engineering degree for another two years. Already spent 4 years at community college taking so much math and science. You do know that about 30% of the US population has a Bachelors degree. It's more common here not to have one.

Stop living your life by other peoples goals and deadlines. Most people that have a career they studied for probably hate it. Not everyone knows what they want to do that young. They usually just settle for it. Trust me, I've meet my share of unhappy educators, nurses lawyers.

Yeah, I didn't do well in high school so I didn't want to attend college. But to make a long story short, I joined the National Guard and attended college since they offered to pay for it. I excelled and graduated with a 4.0 and am headed to medical school. Anything is possible for you want it bad enough.

I guess me and you are kind of in the same bout I'm 24 turning 25 this year and I've been in school for a while myself. I think I might know what I want to do in life but at the same time I don't. I was at a two year school but now I transferred a year or two ago I'm sometimes the oldest on campu it feels weird but fuck it right lol

What really gets me is let's say I do graduate will jobs judge me because I'm older than other college graduates? Like will they pick them because they're younger than me? That's what really triggers me.

Same here. I'm 27 and I'm still in university. I have a college diploma, then worked for a while and decided to go back to school. It ended up taking way longer than I planned due to bouts of depression and failing some courses. So I know how you feel. Everyone around me is happy and advancing well and still stuck spinning my wheels and it feels awful.

I only got an Associates Degree, but I managed to get an entry level job with a good company (utilities), and was able to move up, regardless of education. Education is only a foot in the door. Experience is the key to promotion.

I know people who don't know what to do...choose Account's field. Some work with files is not that much work in the day, to get some decent money at the end of the month.
