"I'm going on a friend deleting Spree!..." Facebook posts?

Anonymous
So a friend of mine on Facebook just posted this:

"I feel like its time to go on a friends list deleting spree. If we're not 'friends' later its most likely because you post WAYYYYY too much of your personal life on your Facebook , probably for attention and its annoying.

Ps. To everyone who does that, I'm sorry you feel that attention deprived. You should be embarrassed - Get friends to talk to instead.

That's all :)"

I'm not really close friends with this person and I don't care if they delete me or not. But I just don't get why people feel the need to make these grand posts on Facebook. Why not just delete people quietly if they are bothering you so much?

I just don't get it.

Anyone else feel this way?

To me these kind of statements scream "I take social media pages WAYYY tooo seriously, and feel the need to draw attention to myself for thinking I'm being such an integral part of your life to worry that I might delete you and to plead your case to me."
