How do guys feel when their girlfriend gushes about a male celebrity?

I don't mind. In fact, me and my lady will get into non-serious arguments about which male celeb is hotter. Like the "battle of the Ryans", and she doesn't pick Gosling? Like, what is wrong with her?

But anyway, celeb gushing isn't a huge deal to me. It really depends on how they do it. I mean, all girls are going to have that celeb crush or attraction, and they'll joke around about him being a breath-taker. But assuming it doesn't go beyond that, then it's nothing major and everyone goes on with their lives.

I'd say once it starts interfering with the actual relationship, or the girl is starting to get unrealistic about it ("seeing" traits in the celeb that they wish their boyfriend had), that is when it's going to far and the chick needs to dial it back by a lot. And another thing that I think should be taken care of is to not make it a constant thing, because from the guy's perspective- it's an obsession, whether it REALLY is or not. Nobody wants their partner constantly expressing some kind of attraction to someone else right to their face. So it's understandable, I think, if it starts to bother a guy if she's going into that territory on a constant basis.

People's sense of attraction doesn't stop when they're in a relationship, but they are responsible for making their partner feel weird if what they're doing is causing it in the first place.

If it's not an obsession; like where they are ALWAYS talking about him; and as long as it's not making constant comments about how hot this guy is, or posting pictures of the dude all over... and as long as they can handle a guy having a celebrity crush themselves without jealousy, then it's not a big issue.

I know of some older women who are making constant jokes about hot guys, and I know for a fact that if their husbands posted anything positive about, say, Kate Upton, there'd be a guy sleeping on the couch (or a divorce happening).

I don't get girls who gush about male celebrities, especially in front of their men. I'm not bothered by it but I know that's girl talk.

If I'm with my boyfriend then I appreciate that time with him. When I'm with my girlfriends then we can maybe bond over similar crushes

Well my one boyfriend would always get jealous and pissed off. It caused a huge fight when he went through my phone and saw texts to my cousin about how I found Harry Styles hot. Another guy I dated didn't care though. He thought it was funny and would playfully tease me about it.

I think it's natural for everyone to find appealing traits in other people. It would be unreasonable of me to expect anything different. It's impossible that the person we're with has EVERYTHING that we're looking for in a person. Perfection like that doesn't exist. I wouldn't even mind if my girlfriend did it in front of me. It's whatever and I know I've found traits appealing about female celebrities. It's something we're all thinking about but we're afraid to share. I'd rather the person I'm with share what's on her mind with me.

It annoys me. I get it that the girl finds the guy attractive, but don't do that shit in front of me. Have some respect. I won't mention anything about a female celebrity or anyone I think is hot in front of my girl, so I expect the same kind of consideration be down towards me. I don't have a problem with my girl finding other guys attractive. That's human nature, but have some respect and don't do it in front of me. That's what your girlfriends are for.

And then it's just a non-issue. Heck, it's a compliment if anything, because I still remember that she chose me, and she has a taste for Jude Law.

On a similar note, I've had several girls say I looked like Edward Snowden. Nobel-Nominee, world-famous leaker, and have you SEEN is girlfriend? I can't side I mind it at all.
