I'm middle class and this girl I'm talking to is from a rich family. We are both in college in the same class. I reckon that we are compatible at almost every level we've discussed so far. As a guy I've been taught to be the provider and protector. So for the first few dates I expect to pay. Usually I have no worries, but I'm worried that she may dismiss me for not being able to maintain her lifestyle with the kinds of dates and/or gifts she is used to

Shit tests are (sometimes conscious, sometimes unconscious) tests that women throw at men in order to quickly determine their desirability. Basically, a shit test is when a woman gives a man a hard time to see how he responds, and thereby the woman knows if he’s a ‘real man’ or not.

I think feminism often is a shit test. I’ve known feminists, whether ‘moderate’ or radical, who’ve gone on and on about the evils of masculinity or about how men should be more ‘respectful’ and gender-neutral. However, these women then often have sex with traditional, masculine men. From my own personal experience, I can say that these ‘feminists’ are often even more turned on by masculinity than non-feminist women are.

It is known that most women have a longer "laundry list" of criteria for a good man than men have for a good woman. In terms of the everyday person are the mens standards low and therefore include more women or are women's standards too high and are excluding too many guys.

I'm 20 years old and turning 21 June 6, I've never been in a relationship, I've never had a girlfriend, I'm a virgin, I've never even been kissed :( . I easily attract girls and pretty good looking, been called "sexy" and "handsome", but I just have really poor social skills especially with girls that's why I'm still single, I don't have any pictures up because all my pictures suck. I've been on two dates in my lifetime that's it, I have limited experience with talking to girls and never been in a relationship before.

I never say anything inappropriate though. Girls is no experience with relationships a turn off? Being 20 years old do I have any chance to get into a relationship with my inexperience?

I don't care if a woman is successful in her career or not. It is neither a turn on or a turn off. A lot of women I have talked to seem shocked that I don't find them more desirable because of them having a successful career. Some of them accuse me of wanting to lock a woman in the kitchen but that isn't true. I want her to help with bills but any job will do. So I was wandering if I am alone in not caring about what a woman does while she is at work, or if these women were just mistakenly thinking this would make them a more attractive partner, because they like guys with successful careers.

Please be don't be rude to either gender. I am actually wanting to know if it is just me or not. I have no intention of starting another gender war on here.

No, that title is no joke. In France, it is illegal to buy a paternity test kit to find out if you are indeed the father. The official reasoning is that it will "disturb the peace within French families", and "fatherhood is determined by society, not by biology." You can only get a paternity test in special circumstances, and then through a court order and with the mother's consent under strict state supervision. If you do it secretly with a foreign lab and are caught, it's a year in prison and a 15,000 Euro fine.

In my opinion. It prevents guys from finding out the truth and holds families that should break up together. It also hurts children too. A man who suspects paternity will will not bond with his child (which can cause all sorts of behavioral and social problems later on), and since the majority of paternity tests carried out show the suspicious guy is the father, it could lead to a lot of biological kids getting rejected by their fathers.

Also, this "fatherhood is determined by society" thing is scarily totalitarian-sounding. It's basically telling you that the state will tell you what a father is.

The main argument of the opponents is that preserving the families should be first and foremost, and it's better for the children and everyone involved.

Take-home aternity test kits were also almost banned in the UK in the early 2000s, and there are some voices calling for it to be banned in the UK and the US.

So what do you guys think? The right way to go or not?

I always had the idea in my mind that if for any reason it happens that I loose my job , even if I do my best , then I will loose my worth.. and my near and dear will look down on me.

I am not talking here on someone who has no goals or no will for life.. I i am talking about someone who is trying his best .

I have a Facebook account which I do not honestly care for, I have 300 friends on it but do not add anyone else. honestly I only just use it for assignments and group work along with university updates but will delete it the instant I no longer need that.

I do not want any excuse to use it, my girlfriend has a huge issue with me at the moment. She is really upset because she uses Facebook and upset that I will not add her, (we been together a year but told her I am not bothered with Facebook) and she recently just found it.

She tells me I have been "lying" to her about not having one (I often deactivate it when I do not need it) but when she found it one day when looking for me she is really angry about it. I mean I have a MySpace also, you could say I lied about that also because I never told her about it (the last time I logged on it was 5 years ago).

Am I doing wrong?

I feel that improving is taking certain attributes and qualities you may already have and just sharpening them up and bringing those things out in a positive and productive way.

i feel that change is much more for things that need dire attention. if a guy harbors negative feelings towards women as a whole then I feel he must find a way to change those feelings into positive ones. if a person has anxiety towards something or a fear, then they will need to try to change those feelings into something that will make that fear or anxiety go away.

for myself I'm always interesting in finding ways to improve my life for the better, and bring my best qualities out into the forefront in various aspects of life. I do feel that I have some anxieties towards certain things and I would like to change though.

what about you? do you feel that change and improve are different? or are they the same? why? what things you are changing and improving about yourself?

This girl kinda friend zoned me because she's "Talking to" another guy. so me and her have been texting lately and I've been making the conversations real exciting and playful and fun

We got to the conversation of movies and here's how it went:

I notice that actors who are nearly forty can many times play someone in their late 20's. In fact, Brad Pitt is nearly 50 and they don't ever cast him in as the grandpa or anything like that. He could play recent graduate or young professional and no one would think that he looks too old to play that kind of role.

Whereas, I don't ever see that happening with women. Female actors have a shorter shelf-life than male actors, and I'm wondering why that is.

Do you think that women, generally speaking, age faster than men and that's why men can play younger characters than women?

The girlfriend and I had a debate about this. She thinks peeing in the sink is gross. On the other hand, I think it's fine since it saves water, urine is sterile, and I make sure to fully wash it down. What do you all think?
