On The Stand, Trump Admits To Adjusting Property Valuations

Amid a contentious back-and-forth with the judge presiding over his civil fraud trial in New York City on Monday, Donald Trump acknowledged that he’d influenced the valuation of several of his properties.

“Did you ever think that the values were off in your statement of financial condition?” Assistant Attorney General Kevin Wallace asked the former president.

“Yes, on occasion,” Trump responded. “Both high and low.”

Asked in particular about a 2017 statement regarding the value of Trump’s penthouse apartment in Trump Tower in Manhattan, Trump said it “probably” came at his direction.

“Probably, I said I thought it was too high,” Trump said. “I don’t know what’s too high anymore, because I’m seeing things sold at numbers that are very high.”

In earlier financial statements, Trump falsely claimed the apartment was more than 30,000 square feet, a significant exaggeration that had to be walked back after a Forbes magazine investigation found the property was actually less than 11,000 square feet.

In a separate line of questioning Monday, Trump distanced himself from a statement of financial condition from 2021, claiming he was busy at the time “keeping our country safe” from the likes of China and Russia.

“Just for the record,” Wallace replied, “you weren’t president in 2021?”

“No, I wasn’t,” Trump acknowledged.

Apart from feeling good. Especially if, for argumentative sake let's say this is the only lifetime, there's no deities, no afterlife, yet they go through life being a socialist full of heart (metaphorical) for their fellow humans. What's their reward in the grand scheme of the very vast and large Milky way galaxy? 🌌 intriguing question I'd say.

Seems to me its very easy for a corporation or special intrest part to buy the result they want by funding studies.

So lets say long ago some ancestors committed some egregious crimes such as slavery or were nazis or whatever. But they are all long since dead and gone. the current generations of those ancestors are now living. is it fair to blame the current generation for those crimes their ancestors committed?

Im not gonna sit here and claim that women think with one central computing system like the swarm. I am however thowing out there that women are more agreeable than men. Women live in close knit communities that work through the threat of ostracization. Women have less testosterone pulsing through their veins which makes them less competitive and more docile when compared to men.

One time the cops broke in the house and... as I was trying to escape... a shotgun shot me in the stomach... I sat by a broken window smelling the fresh air outside and accepting my fate.

Regardless of your opinion on gender neutral restrooms, its true that they are becoming far more common than they used to be. Most consist of private toilet stalls with handwashing sinks in the common area outside of the stalls, but without urinals, you loose the benefits of urinals, both for water conservation, the space savings of urinals, and the speed of urinal use vs standard toilet stalls.

While they provide the best privacy and urinals in separate stalls can help solve the water use issue, they doesn't solve the space use issue, and in practice has slower throughput of users than urinals that aren't enclosed in stalls.

Dual flush toilets in stalls conserve some water, but not as much as urinals. Users also often don't pay attention and just flush normally by default, and these toilets cannot be auto-flush causing a potential sanitation issue. They also don't increase throughput of users, but they do allow any user of the restroom to use any stall, regardless of if they need to just urinate or not.

A separate room for urinals keeps them separate from users who may be uncomfortable by the presence of people using urinals, and have all of the speed of throughput and most of the space saving benefits of the traditional urinals, but women may feel unwelcome or uncomfortable using these urinals in a separate room, limiting these benefits to women.

Urinals in the main restroom with traditional, or slightly larger than usual urinal dividers save the most space and are more welcoming for women to use since it doesn't involve entering a separate space dedicated to urinals, but they could make cause make women users of the restroom uncomfortable being around men using urinals.
