Everything and everyone seems so dull. Everyone keeps to themselves mostly it seems. Any social gatherings seem brief and short. I can tell people seem bogged down.

You go out places now, and people are in and out. Everything is business with no chatter.

I was in the grocery store long ago and mentioned this to a cashier that people don't like to openly talk anymore. She thought about it and agreed.

I was also at the grocery store a few days ago and some child seated in a cart dropped his boxed juice on the ground. I was being nice and picked it up. I went "uh oh, did you drop something?" and handed it back. The mom just had this straight face and was like "thanks". She seemed uncomfortable of my nice gesture.

My life specifically, I am a newlywed and my wife is just so tired and antisocial after work. On her 2 days off, she just likes to stay inside and sleep. I am disabled and have been a hermit myself, although I have been working on a web project and have some stressors too. Everything is just so expensive and you can smell the greed and selfishness everywhere.

Protesting government policies is such a fundamental part of democracy. And it is protected by the 1st Amendment. But during Covid, some political leaders banned protests in order to slow the spread of Covid. But is it ever acceptable to curb democracy?

Body shaming is unbelievably rampant among the human species. If you are super thin, people will say “ Jesus Christ, eat a hamburger or something you anorexic twig.” If you are muscular, people will say “ look at this douche bag. He’s gotta be overcompensating for something. Probably has a small dick.” If you are overweight/ mildly obese people will say “ good grief, will you get off your lazy ass and get on the treadmill once in a while?” It doesn’t matter what you do. You can be thin, muscular, fat, small dicked, big dicked, small titted, or big titted human beings will ALWAYS look at you with judgement and find a way to disrespect you and talk shit. There’s just no winning

My parents are in the process of evicting this hostile leftist tenant living in our home. On August 17th, there was a move out agreement for October 17th with an extension until Oct 31st. A written notice was also delivered. We are on the 58th day now (Oct 15) and upon evaluating security camera footage, I have yet to see any boxes or belongings being removed from the premises. She did take the extension time, but you would think some things would be brought out. Nothing.

I have a feeling my parents will be having to take the court route next.

Again, I would never in my life have the audacity to move into someone's private family residence, pick on the homeowners' son with disabilities, and carry on unscathed while holding part of their home hostage. It is egregiously disrespectful and mind-blowing. There are some really fucked up people in this world, that's for sure.

My take: If you can get FOX & MSNBC to agree in solidarity, then you MUST be wrong Pete.

This move has been widely criticized by the Pentagon Press Association and major news outlets—including ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, Fox News, The New York Times, and many others—who see it as a violation of First Amendment rights and an unprecedented attack on press freedom. Almost all media organizations have refused to sign the new rules, and many reporters have turned in their Pentagon press passes in protest.Hegseth defends the restrictions as common-sense measures to safeguard classified information and maintain order, but critics argue this escalates censorship and stifles transparency regarding military affairs. The policy also moves the Pentagon press corps toward an unprecedented absence of mainstream news coverage inside the Pentagon, breaking a tradition that had lasted since the Eisenhower era.
