nobody can beat a suckerpunch out of nowhere. real fights are nothing like in martial arts movies. in real life it's just one hit and one goes down in 99% if the cases (if there was such intention for violence in the first place)...
but if you pitch a female martial artist and a reasonably fit man with no idea about martial arts in a fighting position, where both are prepared to be attacked and supposed to knock the other out as fast as possible, i think a man would still have the higher chances die to pure strength and mass advantage.

The average guys knows next to nothing about fighting, when I did martial arts size was a minor advantage but the top girls could beat anyone below 3rd degree black belt pretty easily
Yeah of course, the female would know what sort of techniques she would need to use to win the fight. Just because men are physically, naturally stronger doesn’t mean anything when the female has been trained.
Of course, size doesn't matter, even smaller fighters can defeat big and strong guys like Bob Sapp. Martial arts are about speed and skills, not about physical strength.

depends on the level. a high level female martial artist most likely could
Yes, it's happened multiple times... what kind of random sexist question is that lol? If a woman is skilled in martial arts and self-defense she could easily beat the shit out of an attacker. Martial Arts teaches you ways of outmaneuvering and taking advantage of cleanly taking out or disabling your opponent/attacker.
If you mean a female martial artists with fighting training, she has a good chance I think. If you mean somebody who's done martial arts for a couple years in a studio, I doubt it.

Guys have a huge advantage or head start. What's her rank and how long has she trained?
Is she trained in an armed martial art or empty-hand?
She's trained in which martial art (s)?Obviously, average people dont even know how to make a proper fist and they have martial arts specifically designed for fighting larger opponents
Well, taking from my expierence I'd say she definitely could if the fight is fair. Barring surprise attacks, slippery surface, objects involvement etc, female martial artist should easily cope with an average guy. I sparred couple of times with 52 kg pro-kickboxer who is just 20 years old and here is what I learned:
- I could have ended up in hospital if she had not insisted to wear protection helmets,
- Body mass is overrated in terms of fighting, being 30 kg heavier did not help me much,
- I was stronger on the floor, but her superior technique still was enough to put me into submission couple of times,
- In the standing positions she left me with no chance. Her kicks were so fast, that I was not able to block them.
- I fell to the ground several times and only managed to take her down just once.
- After fight she told me she was using like 75% of her full force. I was humiliated. Actually she laughed at me.She'd understand leverage, balance and things like that and would win, yes.
Not saying I'd like to be in that situation, but if I were, I really like my odds, due to my training and fitness level.
Are we talking about the average person who does martial arts? If so no. Doing martial arts and a street fight are completely different things most martial artist would get flattened in a street fight.
Yes, they know all the moves. Thay can strike fast and repel any blow that you might throw. Before you know it you will be beaten.
Yes, if she is fit and a reasonable size. I don't think a girl the size of Simone Biles could beat a guy the size of Shaq O'Neal regardless of how well-trained she was.
Of course, beacuse she is more experience, more training, and has better fight moves than an average person
Yeah I have seen it happen in my old mma gym
Absolutely. My black belted sister has before.
Why must the dog chase the cat?
If she's quicker yes
I would think so
