I haven't tried it in ages. At one time I could get around the rink without falling. I think I managed to go backwards. In elementary school we had skating parties 2-3 times a year. There would be maybe a hundred kids or so who went to the local skating rink. The first time I held a girl's hand was at one of those. It was the "moonlight skate" or something like that. It had the disco ball with sparkling lights going in circles around the rink, as we skated.

Whilst I appreciate those who can, when I've tried it I've found myself sitting on my bottom for most of the session!
For whatever reason, I can roller blade really well but I can barely roller skate without falling several times.

I played a lot street hockey growing up, so I’m very at home on rollerblades. I actually rollerbladed about twelve miles home from a garage a few months ago after dropping my car off with a mechanic. I was BURNED OUT once I got home, haha. I have to carry a hockey stick with me when I skate though, or I feel like a jackass lmao. Did rollerblades make a comeback btw? I saw some teenage girls skating on them the other day, and I feel like anything from the 90s has become cool again lmao. I haven’t skated on quad skates in forever though. I think we had a field trip to a rollerskating rink in middle school, and that was the last time. I managed but it’s a little different than working with rollerblades.
Yes but also no. More no than yes. I can move and waddle and I did sprain my ankle trying to roller skate once and I haven't skated since but my real love is for ice skating. Which I also can't do, but also can do, it's a complicated relationship.
It's something for similar to the movements of a drunk baby giraffe, but yes I can mange to get up & stay up without harming myself or others, usually... ok, sometimes
I was like a "demon possessed" when I used to skate. I even briefly worked at a drive-in diner where we'd skate around to serve customers.

Yes and no. I tend ro hold my friends hands if I feel like I'm going to fast or can't really make a turn, I'm also really clumsy so it took me a while to just go straight lol.

I can rollerskate and I even iceskated once, but I could never rollerblade or balance myself on them... no clue why
Oddly enough, I'm horrible at rolling skating but I'm really good at rollerblading. Which is weird because it's basically the same thing just different wheel placement. Go figure lol.
I was more of an ice skater than a roller skater. I can get around on roller blades, but never figured out the traditional roller skates.

No, even if I as an adult, I still fall and bust my ass or my face, it's not worth it, I'll stick to bikes
