I'm not a shuffling wizard but I wouldn't increase tempo while you're trying to learn more complex steps. But if you want to get better at the ones you can do now, it might help to very gradually increase tempo (maybe even use the same song played ever-so-slightly faster, and keep increasing the BPM).
Go slower, really focus on each movement and make sure there isn't any unnecessary movements, just keep going at a slow pace then when you bring the BPM it'll become easier, this is just stuff I learnt drumming
