you're not skinny but you're not fat either. you got body fat on and need to shred it to see definition. you're in a catch 22 like my body is. i can bulk up and look big and become much stronger physically but no definition and it makes moving slower. if i cut down and shred i become physically weaker but more definition if i do it right and i move faster but my clothes become to loose where the pants fall off. i'm 5'8 and when i want to see real definition in my body i need to drop my body weight all the way down to 151/150 at minimum and 145 to see real hard core definition but i become to skinny at that point even though my abs will really be popping. my highest bulk weight was 225/230 and i could barely move i was way to heavy. 190 to 200 was my powerlifting weight 175 my preferred boxing weight if i was a boxer 180/185 bulk weight almost powerlifting but not quite. usually as of late im around 160 give or take a few pounds higher or lower. something around 157-163 as of late. finding the right balance for my weight is crucial and critical because i know to low i won't have physical strength but tons of definition to high no definition but tons of power my body is what they call a catch 22

i don't know man. for me it just works. but when i decide to put my body into shape, i hit the gym every day for an hour with a 4 way split plan and 2 cardio days. that makes me look like hulk in half a year.
i think your legs have good proportions. not too skinny, not too thick
i personally found that a good, balanced diet works wonders, even more so than any workout technique. i mean in my experience, my body gets a bit puffy if i eat too much salty stuff and carbs. like just depositing water making things look less defined. cuttting carbs and salty stuff makes me feel much more healthy and more defined. it's healthyer to build mass with fats and proteins anyway but since most people eat way more than enough protein already, most people just need to cut carbs and salt. - Asker+1 y
Wow man thanks for the tips ! I personally go overboard with carbs since I thought I needed much more but you’re right I do feel more “puffy “ and I’ll definitely do the 4 way split. I appreciate it !

happy to help. it is actually a very common missconception that carbs are good for us. they aren't. they are a good way to keep populations fed cheaply but they are not healthy nutritionallyspeaking. at least not in the "masses" that people are consuming them.
also don't follow this bullshit bro science, that protein shakes help you bulk. that's bullshit. most people that aren't vegans already eat more protein than they should and consuming protein shaeks actually quite litterally makes you piss out your sceletal structure, cause overconsumption of protein washes calcium out of your body.
fat is your friend when trying to bulk. of course you should go take poly-unsaturated fatty acids if possible but yeah. carbs, sugar and protein is basically typical gym bro-science bullshit that can be a drain on your gains.
