Did you know these numbers about college Basketball sports?

Only 4.1% of high school athletes will make it to a NCAA school to play basketball

1.3% play for a D1

1.2% play for a D2

1.7% play for D3.

Out of these players to successfully make it to play for a college.

Only 6.9% will turn pro, but only 0.8% will actually make it to the WNBA.

This is why it is important when choosing your major, you pick something you can make a living doing.

Over 94% of college athletes will be using their degree to get a job.

I didn't know those "exact" numbers, but I DID know that about 1 to 1.5% of all college athletes make it to the "pro's".

So putting it simply, if you line up your football team, let's say 40 players, your men's basketball team, 12 players, your men's hockey team 20 players, and men's baseball team 28 players, only 1 person from that entire group will ever have a pro career, maybe two if you're lucky. If you add women's sports to it, probably less because there are fewer pro leagues.

I didn’t know it was that low but I have always known that sports was never a practical goal. I would have used collage to boost me in to an athletics career or something had a gone that route. i find that the people who play pro sports don’t really pout the necessary effort in to it anyways.

This is a sad truth and it gets more worst with International students playing in college or even getting in the NBA!!

Someone should really dye to be on a highest level of playing to be in 0.8% of those make it to the NBA 🤯
