If someone claims to care about soccer, then you can tell they are NOT American! Literally no true American cares about, or even likes, soccer. Immigrants who moved to the US don't count. We care about soccer about as much as the soccer-caring part of the world cares about the NFL.

And in just my opinion, soccer is the worst, most BORING sport on the planet. There's a reason most soccer players are short guys who weigh 160-170 pounds (72-77 kg, for all you Europeans.)
