As a New Yorker- we didn’t have this.

I wasn’t placed in sports, either.

Fast forward- I move to the country and hear this game called “dodge ball.” It’s explained to me and I really don’t hear because I’m too busy seeing kids literally abuse each other. Didn’t make sense to me lol

I don’t like contact like that because it’s very straightforward or like it’s as if you hate somebody lmao.

Anyways- I HAD to play for proper credit- which also wasn’t a thing to me in my old school, so this credit was a serious stressor.

I tried it, and I kid you not.. no one even threw at me… I was like: am I immune? Do I love this? Do I hate itt? Lol

I stood there and watched. Lightly tossed something and the boy looked at me as things died down. He threw it at me somewhat “casually.” I dodged, naturally..
THEN HE ZEUS LIGHTNING SPEARED IT AT ME LIKE IT WAS “ON AS IN DONKEY KONG,” and from that moment on people tagged me out first.

What was I thinking at the moment, then?

Do I love this? Do I hate it?

I wanted to be good.. but at that point, I didn’t really care… until one day senior year and I got hit in the face.. by a sophomore who dressed like a beach boy or something.

Safe to say I hate the game, and I let it die in peace.

They didn’t have that game at any of my schools, , so I’ve never played it. I have seen it in movies, and it does not LOOK like a game that I would like.

I absolutely HATE dodgeball! It was my nightmare! I didn't even run so I could be hit and seat down. It was horrible!

I remember playing it in elementary school inside of the portable building we had that was huge. I was terrible at it as a kid growing up.

I was pretty good at dodging and I was able to the catch the ball more then hand it off to a person that was good at hitting someone.
