Should I get rid of my cat?

Anonymous
I've had my cat for a year and a month and it's been very difficult to coexist with her. To start with, I still live with my mom and I won't be able to move out on my own for at least a few more years. My mom let me get a cat in one condition, I keep her in my room for the majority of the time. My room is very standard size and I try to make it pretty comfortable for her with soft places to sit and a decent cat tree. But living in a small space with her hasn't been easy. She's so full of energy and she keeps me up when I'm trying to sleep. It seems that no matter what I do she always ends up running around my room or jumping up the wall as I'm starting to doze off. I change her litter box regularly but since we're so close I have to smell her litter box all the time and I just want my space to smell good again. More often than not I'm mad at her because I buy her food, litter, and supplies when all she does is keep me up and scratch up everything around her. But other times I just love her and I'm so happy with her. She's very affectionate and such a sweet cat but I feel as though I can't provide for her everything she needs. I've considered giving her up a lot, but I know change is very traumatic for cats, plus I fear I would regret it because she's so sweet. I have mixed feelings but I really feel that someone else could care for her better than me.
