If Hunting was a real sport, you’d go toe-to-toe with an animal without high-powered rifles, right?

sorry, no. You're a big science guy, so you like that evolution and stuff, right? Well lions have evolved to have a bite force of 650 psi, compared to a human's bite force of 150 psi. They also run faster and have developed claws that can eviscerate a human on contact. Humans have evolved to use their minds invent things to compensate for their relatively weak bodies, such as guns. :) Why would you support the evolution of one species, but not another? 🤪
You're completely uneducated in this topic, and I see you stubbornly argue with people on here to remain so. It's kinda awkward bro. If you don't know how much people hunt FOR FOOD, just admit it and move on. Deer, elk and other meats are a huge part of a lot of people's lives, and we don't appreciate your ignorance in the matter while trying to preach your uneducated opinions.
I also don't agree with the way some hunting is done, and regulations are constantly trying to find a balance between the spirit of competition between humans and animals. But if you're gonna sit here and tell me you're anti-angler fish because it uses a bait/lure to attract prey, the same way humans might use bait... lmao.
If you're gonna cry because humans hide in camo and little "tents", but ignore the camouflage found on animals in the wild while they stalk their underpowered prey...
Trust the science, bro. Evolution of the mind is a completely acceptable scientific occurrence, and science isn't bitching about trap door spiders hiding behind their little trap doors and then pouncing on unsuspecting prey, that is ill-equipped to fight back.
Science is also celebrating the evolution of the octopus' mind, when it was seen dragging half a coconut shell to its underwater hideout and held it up as a shield/door to hide from a hungry shark. Are you calling that octopus a... pussy for not fighting off the shark with only its natural body? 🤣
The "sport" term, which seems to offend you greatly, refers to the hunting, tracking, and eventual taking of an animal. It's not a fight in a gladiator arena. Obviously, you've never been hunting for elk, but there's nothing easy about it in some of the steep terrain where they live. No, I'm not defending the guys who fly overhead in helicopters and shoot elephants, hippos or lions from the air. Trophy hunting is a thing, but done certain ways, it's definitely not a sport.
"Why would you support the evolution of one species, but not another?" Because his ideology is one of self-loathing and he wants to take us down with him? (Increasingly, that does seem to be understanding the Left).
But even if he replies that food is okay but trophies are not, he still does not understand that these game hunters pay big money to impoverished countries of the world, and impoverished countries maintain wildlife areas for this trophy hunting. No habitat, no trophies. Habitat that would otherwise be plowed under, paved over, strip mined, drilled, chopped down, etc. depending upon habitat.
Knife or spear or it isn't a sport hunting
Yes and you have to make the weapons out of wood and stones. Even a bow and arrow.
I mean Arnie also used grenade arrows but he was fighting the fcking predator.

nope... no
even when wild animals hunt... they always go against the animals they can easily overpower
when wild animals go toe-to-toe with another animal that's what you call a fight to the very possible death
not to say that I would be one of those who call hunting a sport... because it isn't, lol
most (humans) hunting is done for food as well... it is a need
now for those who do kill animals and they justify it as a sport... that's a different breed
I am telling you that most people hunt game... not lions
there is hunting... there's game hunting, there's "sport hunting" and there's also "trophy hunting"
and few other types of hunting...
killing a lion would be seen as "trophy hunting" and it is the one I don't call it a sport, but a despicable thing to do
it could seem odd yes, rather vague...
usually, here... game does refer to hunting primarily for meet, like deer, elks and stuff
then you hear about "big game" which is more like hunting for "trophies"
Even if im the strongest human and/or have maxed out the highest possible strength in human anatomy i won't
I will die
There is a reason why we rule over elephants/lions/gorillas...
And that is our brains
So take care of it.
Who's gonna make us successful our brains
Who's make us a pawn a brain
Yeah u get it
Are you asking a question or making a statement? Because reading through the other replies you sure don’t seem to be listening to anyone.
Humans adaptation that put us where we are on the food chains is our brains. Even the most experienced people are quite inept in the wild relative to most animals, which have a remarkable ability to detect things that don’t belong (us)
You really are good at proving your own stupidity. See that thing leaning up on the lion? Thats a bow
Try again
I'm fine with hunting, as long as you're going to eat whatever you catch, or have the meat processed by a butcher for others to eat. I never understood the point of hunting if you're not going to eat what you've caught. Especially since it's not an expensive activity either. It's like going to the grocery store, buying a ham, and then throwing it out.
*inexpensive
I'm a firm believer in "if you're not going to eat it, don't kill it". Hunting just to kill is bullshit unless you're talking about invasive species like feral hogs or something. Killing lions, elephants, bears, etc. should only be done if the animal is about to kill you.
You have no idea what goes into hunting if you think that.
Tbh, there is a lot to break down and explain. So I will address what you have already said, and if you have questions, I will gladly answer them. Have you heard of stereotypes? That is what you are following. You are obviously not immersed in hunting culture. No matter what group it is, you will always get the idiots that give it a bad name. 99% of hunters aren't like stereotypes. Depending on where and what you are hunting, you can or can not bait. Most places do not allow baiting for most things. I recommend watching meat eaters. It is the most accurate depiction of what hunting is and what hunter are about. While hunting you are hiking, tracking, stalking prey over all kinds of varying terrain. A rifle provides a smaller barrier to entry for hunting as it takes less skill and allows for a more ethical kill at greater distances.
If you have your own land you walk it throughout the year to take mental notes of the different animals in the area and their habits. People with family hunting ground or who have the resources often change what is on the property to balance the ecosystem. They will add native plants and remove invasive ones. Having a balanced ecosystem allows of health populations of the animals on the land. Hunting public land is much harder because you have less prep time and more competition. Most hunters hunt on public land.
I feel like I am just rambling. Want to dm me or reply here with a direct question so I can answer it. Like trophy hunting. I will break that down into two categories. Basically, rich guys who go to exotic places to shoot rare animals. The catch is it goes through locals who make a majority of their money off of it. They pay 10s of thousands of dollars to harvest a problem animal or a locally overpopulated animal. An elephant, for example. A guy pays 30k to kill it. The elephant was a problem because it was damaging property or crops locally. The locals get the money and meat while getting rid of the problem animal. In areas where this isn't allowed, local taxes pay for a hired gun to come in and put down the problem animal. Which is obviously a lose lose
The other type of trophy hunting is high fence operations. They are common in places like Texas. Most hunters don't see that ad hunting. People with private ranches breed exotics and local animals to be harvested. They are appealing to some because it is obviously easier. People usually do it for ethical meat. They animal lived a free-range life without predators, then is ethical harvestested and used. Just like other hunting it is common practice to take only males as they have spread their genes and will be prone to death from diseases and the environment as they are older.
I get the culture of hunting and your arguments. I'm coming at this from simply logic.
A lion isn't game but deer is?
I also think you're confusing hunting and animal control. In africa, they have to exterminate whole herds of elephants or else the ecosystem will crumble.
Private ranches aren't the common hunters.
I would not even take on a housecat without an AK-47
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I hunt. Its not that easy. I only hunt game animals
Well when you hunt deer you kill one usually and you eat it. Other game animals in the US are wild boar/hog, rabbit, goose, duck, turkey, bighorn sheep, elk, Antelope, moose, goat, caribou. Basically anything a predator hunts.
Wolves, cougars, bears etc are generally only supposed to be hunted for population control. Hunting something like a lion or a Polar bear is a rich man's sport and only for his ego and fbook page
dumb animal is dangerous most species need to become food
We'd be hunting with the other 50 guys in the tribe.
Tell that to ambush predators who don't give their prey a chance to fight back.
Of course, I’ve read “The Most Dangerous Game” like a cultured American
Is this supposed to be a statement for veganism? No meat eater supports poaching, which this is a perfect example of.
It's almost unbelievable you're almost 40 and just have no idea but of course you wouldn't. That's why humans are top of the food chain because we find ways to overcome the biggest animals
Never hunted don't believe in hurting people or animals . Unless was in danger
Hunting is disgusting.
