+1 yNah, I'm not into hunting. I have nothing against bears. If one threatened me or got to close I'd not hesitate to shoot it but I wouldn't want to hunt them.
I'd go squirrel hunting though. Those little guys... while cute and I have liked squirrels before (while at college I would sometimes feed the campus squirrels... one even got on my lap and took food from me) then ones by my house have really started to grate on me and make me dislike them.
I put down bird seed on the patio and I hang a feeder off of our covered deck. I don't mind if they come and eat some of the food off of the patio (a Chipmunk does as well) but they keep coming up and climbing the support beams and hanging from the suspended feeder. I chase them off all the time but they don't stop. I've gotten to where I'll only hang the feeder when I'm home and I can make sure they don't get on it. I used to leave it out 24/7 but not anymore.
Anyway I wouldn't mind blasting a shot into their little leaf nests and shooting whatever comes scurrying out.10 Reply

If you are not willing to hunt something like bears with a shield and spear, then you can't hunt them. Well that and if I had some land in a wooded area that is frequented by bears I'd work on setting up a den for them and do my best to ensure I don't have a negative encounter with them.
I use to live in the morticians and one thing would really piss me off. People would billed these several million dollar homes in areas frequented by wildlife and demand the wildlife get hunted down, due to having a negative encounter with them on the home owners property. Despite the entire reason the encounter happened because the home owner was not fallowing any of the laws in place to keep the wildlife and them safe from each other.00 Reply
+1 yNah. You’d probably hate my answer here, but I’m a bit of a softie when it comes to hunting tbh. I’ve gone a decent amount of times, and I enjoy a lot of aspects of it, but these animals don’t die instantly and it’s pretty sad to watch them go. The yelping always got me. Bear meat is pretty tasty I’ll admit. It’s the circle of life, but it’s just not particularly fun for me. Bears can be so affectionate and kind too. I rather slay hajis in Afghanistan than animals who don’t know any better. 😂 I think that’s because of the adrenaline rush and the more fair aspect to warfare. I’m a bit crazy

+1 yWanna see my bare skin rug?
*takes off clothes and lays on the floor*
I'm a decent hunter. I have good woodcraft, can stalk and I'm a decent shot, but basically I don't like to kill shit, so if I want to eat an animal, I go to Safeway and buy it and let someone else do that for me. I have, however, been beer hunting, which often leads to bare hunting.10 Reply- 1.2K opinions shared on Other topic.
+1 yIf said bear was threatening one's horses or livestock, absolutely. The Leftist Demunist Commiecrats, ecofiend ninnies, bureaucrats, and goo-goos will have a fit about this, so "Shoot, shovel and shut up" is the rule:

+1 yNo. Bears have a right to live on this planet.
I'm not the kind of guy who wants stiffed animal heads and bodies decorating the walls of his lodge. Personally, I don't understand why some guys do that. I can understand hunting for food, but not for sport.00 Reply - 592 opinions shared on Other topic.
+1 yHELL NO, my country is the second one whit the biggest population of bears afther Russia.
Mine have over 50.000 bears, it's so much they start to come in the humans area AND WE LOVE THEM.
So nice to live togeder in harmony whit mother nature :) 00 Reply
+1 yNah, i do wilderness survival classes and snaresband such. Sneak up to animals to take picture of them etc.
I don't feel like hunting for sport, they have a pretty difficult life already. I grew up near farms and i have killed for food, so i'm not inexperienced with death.

+1 yNo, I want to live and keep far away from bears.
Though kudos to anyone who does go remove those satanic beasts from this earth. I read a story about a Russian girl who went camping with her dad. A bear came, killed dad, horribly mauled her. She called her mom on her cell. Then the bear came back with cubs and they started eating her alive while she was on the phone with her mom.00 Reply If by bear hunting you mean riding a bear mount into the forest and shooting people with a bow and arrow, absolutely.

Sure that would be fun, I’d love to go elephant hunting but instead of using real bullet on elephants I’d use tranquilizers I know there critically endangered so I wouldn’t want to kill them but the hunt would be fun so use non lethal rounds
00 Reply1.3K opinions shared on Other topic. I wouldn't hunt a predator unless it had killed a human.
I don't have any ethical issues about hunting in general as long as the hunter can actually shoot straight and take down the target with a single, clean shot.00 Reply2.2K opinions shared on Other topic. Nah, I try and drink at home rather then beer... Oh wait you said bear, why would I feed beer to a bear?
(Remember Im vegetarian and don't trophy hunt)04 ReplyHell no, but I would enjoy hunting the hunters.
I expect that they might not be such ‘great hunters’ when the prey begins to shoot back.13 Reply- +1 y
PS: Anyone who experiences pleasure when they kill an animal, especially a magnificent beast such as a bear, is seriously fucked up.
I would predict: sadist and psychopath, just to begin the list of psychiatric problems.
My rural property is a sanctuary for all animals.
If some yahoo came on to my land to do harm to any of my furry or feathered friends, the body (or bodies) would not be found.

+1 yNo I feel you should either shoot for the table or for conservation reasons.
16 Reply- +1 y
Then in my book it's acceptable.
- +1 y
Conservation? What do you think about hunting all of the abundance of wild bores lots of states have problems with?
- +1 y
@Miristheiss it's a good time
- +1 y
Wild boar can do a lot of damage and can badly effect ground nesting birds. Granting permission to hunters both raises money for conservation and controls the population.

Bear is tough and even tougher to cook. Because it has so little fat on it, it can dry out very easily if you're not careful.
