also if i am 6'1 in shoes with a max reach of around 7'11 to 8ft would a 44 inch vert allow me to dunk from the free throw line?

they are tall not real skill.
contrast Patrick Ewing 6 foot 12! but Larry Bird 6+9 same David Cowens 6+9 that is skill.
they need to split like boxing heavy weight class. teams all players 6+0 to 6+4 with lower hoop!
6+5 to 6+9 like now!
6+10- 7+1 HIGHER hoop!
