6'3" isn't short... Go watch Grayson Boucher (The Professor) break ankles at 5'10"...
https://www.youtube.com/embed/vglS7j0c4Tohttps://www.youtube.com/embed/LtM2ieGB5Zc It's still not short especially for a point guard. For example Stephen Curry is a point guard and he's 6'2". People rave and rant about how good he is these days because he's the current flavor of the month. If you look at the best point guard in all of basketball history, John Stockton was only 6'1".

Point guards are basically the quarterback of a basketball team. They control the flow of play. Their role isn't to drive to the net and dunk the ball on some guy that's 6'9". Their role is to set up the court and put the ball in the position for their team to score. It's a team sport… They maneuver the ball into position and throw the assisting pass that leads to the score if they are any good at their job. On defense they are the one that most often steal the ball and recovers the control of play for their team. When positioning of teammates is bad (i. e. their leadership sucks or their teammates can’t follow orders because they suck), then the point guard often drops it in the bucket from the three point line with laser precision. You know a good point guard by their stats when it comes to assists, steals, and three point shots accuracy not by their height. It's a skill position. It takes brainpower, listening skills (i. e. coaches game plan), leadership skills to manage players, good ball handling skills, good passing skills, shot accuracy, etc...
There are plenty of other point guards that are in that general height range (eg. 6'-6'4") like Jason Kid, Chris Paul, Gary Payton, Maurice Cheeks, etc. Steve Nash has more assists than Stephen Curry for example leading to inside play and he still had a better 3 point accuracy than Stephen Curry even though Stephen Curry is more famous for being a 3 point shooter being the leagues all time leader in points for 3 point shots. Curry plays an outside game, but he's not as accurate as someone like Steve Nash and he's not as much of a team player setting up the court properly for his team to score, yet with the team he plays with against today's competition it seams to lead to success so it does work, even though it's not exactly what a point guard is suppose to do.
I watched Steve Nash play growing up. He is very athletic. A person who is not athletic doesn’t become a professional athlete. You don’t sound like a very bright person.
- by being atheletic obviously. Sort of an oxymoron question...
