Memorable moments - "Terrible" Ted Lindsay in the 50s and 60s (Wasn't born obviously but my dad knew him personally and told me stories), Stanley Cup domination in the 90s and 2000s, Datsyuk joining the team in 2001 and watching his deking skills

Disappointing moments - Placing 5th this year and not having a chance at the cup... again..., Datsyuk retiring

My dad's team is Boston Bruins so I follow them as well

Memorable Moments - Watching them destroy the Leafs year after year, Willie O'Ree an African American getting recognition, Cheevers an incredible goalie in the 60s and 70s (Watched many clips), watching Andy Moog make deadly saves with flair

Disappointing moments - Embarrassing loss in the playoffs last year

For Lando/McLaren in F1, watching that Sochi loss hurt so bad. Lando was so close to getting his first ever potential win and then rain and some poor decisions, lack of communication, whatever took him out but Miami, how sweet it is, crossing the finish line in first, a first, to the overwhelming roar of the crowd, ugh, so good. Literally made my entire Sunday a great day.

Memorable... US hockey team defeats Soviet Union in 1980 Winter Olympics

Disappointing... I don't really have favorite teams, but watching the Atlanta Falcons blow a huge lead and losing to the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl was painful to watch

Honorable Mention-Memorable... I once coached 10yo boys baseball team. In one game, the two worst players on the team combined to score the winning run and the boys on the team treated them like heroes.

8 years old in 1980 when the NY Islanders won their first of FOUR CONSECUTIVE Stanley Cups. It will NEVER be done again. What a time to be alive!!

Worst was watching the NY Mets with a 7.5 game lead in first week of September and then collapsed to not make playoffs in 2007. It's unheard of. You really have to wanna fuck shit up for that to happen!
