Have you ever "took one for the team" and it was better than what you team was/did do?

A few years ago I and two of my younger friends went clubbing. We met three ladies. The ladies were all my friends ages (early 20s, I was 27) so as the pairing up commenced one young lady was stuck with the older guy. I felt bad for her, she just turned 21 why they were out partying. So being a Friday night, I flew is down to virgin islands for the weekend. Ues I'm rich, a pilots license and a connection with the owner of a private jet company. She had a far better time then her friends hookups. Specially then day after FaceTime call from the beach.
