My boyfriend is obsessed with basketball. I’m more into baseball. He likes it too and we like the same teams, but his love for the passtime sport is nowhere near how he feels about basketball. NBA Finals is starting and I was like shit I prob just lost him. But he was like “I ain't goin nowhere. We’re gonna be doing our thing and the game may be on silent in the background. I just need to keep up with the score for my sports bet.” Lmao nice! Its interesting that despite my exes being into football, soccer, etc, none have ever wanted alone time when the game is on. Shit not even when they play 2k lol #FeelFreeToList
1 yOh absolutely. It’s an unspoken rule in our home not to be disturb during football (soccer) games for my partner. Not that he will even notice. I practically am invisibility when the game is on. He used to invite his friends over and it would be a thing but then his friends started demanding thing ‘where’s the beer?’ ‘Dude you’re outta potato chips’ and he said faq that. Not people over.
For me, it’s strongman. When it’s on, I don’t wanna hear anything. My eyes are busy soaking up the big buff dudes.24 Reply- 1 y
I tried to be like that with my shows but i’ll honestly tune it out for my dude lol
- 1 y
You’re too nice 😅
- 1 y
You like the strong man competitions? lol I’ve never heard a girl say that before that’s interesting
- 1 y
@dolemite58 absolutely love watching strong man.

1 yI prefer it, honestly, since I can just turn my brain off of the outside noise and just enjoy me time enjoying a game I played as a kid.
She used to play softball, but is nowhere near as invested in the game as me and will not be as focused on it and want to talk about other things. She knows I enjoy it and love it and will listen to me talk about it with a smile on her face, but I know it is going in one ear and out the other, lol. I would rather She can enjoy her time on her own merit than sit with me and be bored over a game.

The game actually doesn't bore me but im trying not to check out other dudes 🤣 cause thats all i’d watch basketball for haha
- 1 y
That's ALL you watch in baseball too
- 1 y
It’s actually not. I love baseball for several reasons and played it a lot with friends outside of school throughout my youth. But the eyecandy of my Dansby, Cody, Kevin, and Mookie help a lot

m 1 yI do have the very helpful ability to watch the game while holding conversations or multitasking just alright...
soccer doesn't really need your full attention anyway and... the NFL, does have many pauses as well, so... not really a problem for me10 Reply
1 yI'm open to have a company, when I watch my games, but I don't force anyone... volleyball is not so popular like hockey or football
01 Reply- 1 y
I love to play it but not watch it. A lot of guys love to watch it for certain reasons lol

1 yThis is the very first time I'm going to give an answer that I don't want my wife to see lol...
'YES' as she loves to ask me questions about the football when it's on, but she ALWAYS manages to make me miss the goals, and unlike American Football there are hardly ANY goals scored!18 Reply- 1 y
I’d def ask questions about basketball cause i dont understand it lmao
The only Basketball match I've been to was when I was 7 ISH. My Mum took me to see the Harlem Globetrotters. That was REALLY big deal for me back then, because being in the UK Basketball wasn't really a thing here!
As for understanding it? I don't have a Scooby either!Ooops.. I forgot myself I should explain. Being in London we have Cockney Rhyming Slang here and a Scooby Doo = Clue
- 1 y
Only thing i like about basketball is Michael Jordan and Space Jam lmao
I was disappointed with Space Jam.. Wile could have won that game on his own if they'd let him plant enough charges all over the court!
Well either that, or he'd blown himself up!- 1 y
Lmao well i loved Space Jam but that sequel was trash
It really was terrible wasn't it!
It's always the same when they have all these guest cameos. It is to cover up the fact there is no story!- 1 y
LmAo yessss
1 yThankfully, I don’t have that issue we both like sports but if one of us didn’t like something the other one did sometimes we just do it to be able to spend time with each other but sometimes it’s good to have things just your own. It’s healthy you know that’s why it’s healthy to let your significant other go hang out with their friends.
00 ReplyNo, I don’t mind if she watches with me , if she wants to. Honestly , don’t really give 2 shits about sports but I do enjoy watching them at times. I use to be heavy into sports until I realized most of it is fixed and set up, it’s like watching WWE to me now a days , just fixed entertainment for the most part
00 ReplyMost women I know aren't really a fan of blood sports me on the other hand quite enjoy them being a martial artist/fighter and all. So instead of them not enjoying it or worse giving commentary like how it's barbaric or gross I would rather watch alone.
04 Reply- 1 y
I can watch martial arts movies but not like a show
- 1 y
Yea the matches is what i mean by a show lol
1 yI don't want space per se but I don't want conversations or questions during critical times in games. An example is "should we do this" or "look at this" on third down in the 4th quarter...
For boxing with my favorite fighters though I prefer no distractions, not that I want to be alone but I will not look away from the TV or pay attention to anything else until the round ends.
Otherwise I prefer company especially my SO.

@DizzyDesii lol is that a little extreme of me? I have a few boxers I absolutely love and they often only fight once a year
- 1 y
Its not
1 yYeah I don’t mind if my girl hangs with me while the game is on silent. I mostly only watch football and baseball and maybe college basketball ( don’t like watching the NBA anymore) and I actually like her to watch it with me. Then maybe have some fun during halftime and 7th inning stretch or blowout win/loss.
01 Reply- 1 y
Halftime fun for sure
... Sports are for losers. I don't watch sports. I don't even go near sports-themed manga, let alone sports games... though I do have like... one or two car-racing games. Never played them though. Just have them because they were reduced a lot on sale.

Nah, I honestly don't really care about watching any sports and stuff like that. I feel like I wanna go and do it rather than sit and watch or even cheer. I just find it rather boring usually..
01 Reply- 1 y
Interesting
Yes I want to be able to concentrate on the game. I hate & resent my concentration being broken. No talking please.

- 1 y
Boxing creeps you out? 😂😂.. That's... Interesting.. I've recently started appreciating the art of the staged stuntman soap opera known as the WWE..
- 1 y
Cause too many boxers end up being wife beaters
- 1 y
Oh yeah, you got a point.. LOL..
