Observe this teaching video where I teach one of the most devastating techniques in all of Isshinryu Karate for street self defense. This should have been in my "top ten most devastating techniques" video, but I forgot about it at the time I was making the video.
I linked to this video in several Isshinryu Instructors' videos, and they all take it down because they are afraid to teach you the real technique that this Kata is teaching in the official Okinawan Isshinryu Syllabus. I don't remember what this move is called by official name, but it is in fact in the official Isshinryu Syllabus for this kata, and I was taught it first by my own 4th Degree Black Belt instructor, and later saw it again in Grand Master Michael Calandra's teaching video.

For some reason, the pussified JR and Middle black belt instructors on Youtube deny this is even in Isshinryu, and take it down every time I link to this video or another one where I teach this technique for "Life or death defense".

It’s really tough when something you’re passionate about gets dismissed by others. Martial artists often have strong opinions based on their own experiences and teachings. It's possible they consider certain techniques too dangerous to be taught openly. Safety and respect for the art can lead to disagreements. Keep sharing your knowledge respectfully—sometimes it takes time for new ideas to gain acceptance. Stay focused on your practice and growth!
But this is the style's official syllabus and has been taught this way for over 80 years.
