What do you think of girls that hunt?

I started hunting with my dad when I was young. Just curious about what everyone thinks about girls that like to hunt.

I grew up in the country. 325 miles from the nearest “city”, that means in any direction 325 would be the closest. My family had paid hunters. Women who hunt, even ones who grow up out here, are rare. Its cool though, but very rare. They get a buck or doe or Turkey maybe one time and they seem to quit, even ones whom it cost nothing. Its interesting and it would be great and all to go out hunting with your wife. The ex wife that tried to have me killed later, I took her out once. She got a buck at 300 yards with a.30-06 right through the heart after I taught her to shoot, I used tannerrite to make it more interesting for her when I taught her. After she shoot the buck we couldn’t find it for hours due to so many others around it that took off in the brush, I didn’t know which one she was aiming for and I didn’t have binos on me at that moment.

No I wasn’t some old fat guy using big money to get a young wife, we were both 21-23, I can’t remember exactly right now. Anyways, she never hunted again, as far as I know. Many ranchers out here wanted to hunt with their sons more anyways, could be the gender roles were still a thing. I've still never saw a young woman build cattle fence or throw calves yet either, hell you can’t find cheap help to do that at all these days. Sometimes some rich guys from the south bring a daughter around that loves hunting or take a wife on a hunt for the first time, but its not often. I think itd be great to have a wife who was a better shot and actually liked to hunt too.

I think it’s a really good skill set to have, it shows people where food comes from, that animals do die to get meat on our table. It also shows why it is critical to have clean kills and to only shoot when you have a good target, you learn marksmanship principles and it really lets you zone out. You also learn how to clean a kill, prepare it, butcher it and how an animal is put together, the first time you bleed and gut something, is a huge moment and yes some people are sick etc. Between rifle and shotgun there is definitely a difference in skill set. I’m all for it, as long as it’s done with skills, far too many fuckwits get involved with deer stalking etc and end up wounding not killing outright. Archery for targets is good, for hunting it’s harder and you need to learn how to stalk better than with a rifle,

If I tell a guy I have a firearm license and I am member of hunting club, they look at me as I would skin them in my cellar after I'm done with them. If I tell them I'm sport shooter it's everything okay.
People judge often others when they kill animals even thought they eat meat and wild deer is premium meat.

Very cool. Knowledge of how to safely use and handle guns is essential. Target shooting and especially hunting requires technical knowledge and discipline.
And a girl who hunts is kinda bad ass.
Handling the recoil from a.308 is pretty bad ass, too.

Knowing how to clean and butcher a carcass is extremely valuable.

I'd say you're a keeper.
I would never have dated or married anyone who was a gunophobe. But someone who hunts is a huge plus.

Girls that hunt are a massive turn on for me. A precision hunting rifle in the hands of a skilled shooter is like a scalpel in the hand of a highly trained surgeon. A girl that can handle that gets an A+ from me. This country was built on people who hunted and processed their own meat. I don’t understand why there are so many people who think that hunting is cruel.

I think it's pretty cool. I always wanted to go hunting but my dad always avoided the topic lol. I think he's too lazy to deal with the game after it's killed. Which I suppose I can understand.

So I'd be excited to go hunting. I'm a pretty good shot with a gun but whenever I talk about hunting, people go "you should go hunting with a bow"

And I always tell them I'm not that accurate with a bow, I'd hate to miss and not get a clean kill... Multiple times.

Also, I've noticed a girl that knows how to hunt tend to be hawt.

I could be a turn on , considering she likes the outdoors , because I like the outdoors as well and hunting as well at times , I love doing a lot of outdoor activities , fishing , swimming , camping etc.. so dating a girl that likes to do the similar things would give her some brownie points because we would have more things in common with each other. It’s better to date someone that you have more in common with , someone that doesn’t have much in common can be pretty boring lol.

I find that attractive, I love hunting, even though I'd say about 20% of the time, I get something. Just spending time out there in the wilderness hearing the birds sing, that peacefulness is the best part by far. I don't even care if I get anything, those songbirds will make it worth my while, even though I'll probably never get an opportunity to take a shot on that trip

I would want my children to be able to safely handle a gun. If they decided to use that skill to put meat on the table and in the freezer. All the better!  I know of some women that conceal carry!

Its fairly normal where I live. A few small cities surrounded by endless rural farm and country.

So pretty much everyone either hunts or knows someone who does. That being said, I do like a girl who can handle a rifle.
