Why be enamored with ninjas when we have samurai? The 47 Ronin. What a great and authentic tale! And the Satsuma Rebellion in 1877 led by Saigō Takamori is legendary. Unfortunately Tom Cruise and Hollywood ruined it in the Last samurai. 47 Ronin of course is another story ruined by Hollywood and this time by Keanu Reeves! I love the guy but I can't forgive him for this film.
