I have been saying this for years about professional tennis, the people with the least experience get the least playing time at tournaments. If they're out in round 1 or round 2 then they're done. All that travel, all that money, all that practice, now go home.

So start a lucky losers tournament alongside the main one, so they can get actual match play experience. Who is it harming? The courts are just sitting there, getting emptier and emptier as the days go on. The umpires would love the extra work and the extra pay. And it will do much more for their game than having a 14 year old girl paying a hitting partner $500 an hour.

The same concept could apply to many sports, including FIFA.
