Am I the only one that knows how to play Murderball?

Anytime I mention it to someone, they either say they never heard of it or they claim it's Dodgeball!
There's a distinct difference between the 2!
Dodgeball: Get a bunch of people to play it & 1 inflated rubber or plastic ball.
Everyone forms a large circle & 1 or more people stand in the middle of the circle. Those on the outside try to hit the one (s) in the middle with the ball & that/those person/people try to DODGE the ball & avoid being hit. If they are hit, they switch places with whoever hit them & the game continues.
Variation: Everyone forms a line parallel to a wall & the those that are "it" stand in front of the wall & dodge the ball the others try to hit them with.

Murderball: Everyone that's playing gets split up into two equally manned teams that face each other If 20 are playing, each team gets 10 people.
3 or 4 balls are used and they are either rolled or set on the ground between the 2 teams and members of each team need to run to and grab a ball. Again, they are inflated rubber or plastic balls but those red rubber ones used in gym class that kinda ring when they bounce off of something are best for this game.
The goal is to eliminate as many players from the other team as possible by hitting each member with one of the balls. The rules are as follows.
1. If someone gets hit with a ball, they are out of the game and have to leave the playing area.
2. If someone from one team throws a ball at someone on the other team and that person catches the ball before it hits the ground, the person that threw the ball is out!
3. If you are holding a ball in your hand and someone on the other team throws a ball at you, you can use your ball to deflect their ball and both players are still in the game.
4. If a ball IS deflected and someone else on your team catches it before it hits the ground, the person that threw the ball is out.
5. If you are hit with a ball and someone else catches the ball before it hits the ground, the person that threw it is out.

6. If a thrown ball hits more than one person and it's not caught before it hits the ground, everyone hit by it is out. Likewise, if 2 or 3 are hit by the same ball and a 3rd or 4th person catches it, those people are still in the game and the person that threw it is out!
The game ends when there is only one person left standing in the game and that team is the winner.
