Is God calling me from an easier career to a more challenging path?

I always believed that because of my communication talents and my logic skills, I could work as a university essay editor or psychotherapist and make good money that way, but I felt my intuition telling me, that God wanted me to pursue a more challenging career so that I could stay humble, which is why I pursued book authorship which to me, is over 10 times harder than either of those other jobs I believe I could have done. And right when I was about to achieve my goal, I felt God might want me to quit and do something else.
