So there are 25 guys on an Olympic hockey team. Let's say the USA beats Canada tommorow, which could happened. In the official medal count, will it count as ONE gold medal or 25 gold medals?

Medals are counted per event. There are three medals handed out for each event: gold, silver and bronze. Whether the team has 1 athlete, 2 athletes or 25 athletes, though they each receive a medal, it only cunts as one (1) medal in the overall medal count.
