Why do some fans wear THEIR colors and bring THEIR flag to other countries' matches? Does anyone else hate this and find it disrespectful?

People are excited about football but can't afford to watch their own teams because of dynamic pricing bullshit or it's just sold out already. I don't see anything wrong about it as long as you still support at least one of the two teams you watch.

Why not wear something neutral or one of THEIR colors.
They WEREN'T. Maybe 80 or 90% of the atendees were locals who just wanted to attend the World Cup and see goals and they were literally just cheering for anyone running towards goal and scoring.🤣 Me and my dad were the only Americans who were rooting only for Switzerland

People go to bars or fan gatherings before where they want to show the support for their team. I don't know, don't really care like I said. I think as long as you bring good mood and support at least one team that's ok.

I remember seeing Vietnam flags all the time at the World Cup in Russia. I don't find it disrespectful. I just found it a little strange.

It is fine and shows the global nature of the sport but it is kind of like wearing a Hawaiian shirt to a more formal party… it just doesn’t fit in for the moment.
