It doesn't have the prestige of the Olympics so is anyone actually watching and if so what sport?

Trump has personally reached out to the King to get him to reconsider the US’s ability to participate since it worked with the red card incident in the World Cup.
The US used to be part of the Empire and granted we broke away but so did India… they just didn’t change their name that’s all. Nigeria, Kenya, Papua New Guinea… wtf are they doing there? We should have more claim than them.
We could host the next games in Greenland as that situation should be finished up by then and it is a good half way point. Let us play… unless it is games like haggis throwing and such.
As an American, I'm not watching, but it's nice to hear my Aussie mates are leading the table in medals.
Also nice is Wales winning 4 medals, but I didn't know that sheep farming was an event. What events have Wales won medals in?
The swimming events
@purplepoppy Makes sense. You have to swim to get from Anglesey to the Mainland, don't you? Good practice.
Quite a few people have swam from Wales to England around the 12 mile gap in the Swansea area. It's about 30-50 mile away where I am but visible on a good day. I'm sure some people must have attempted it.
Yes, I’m watching bits of it! 😊 As a tennis girl, I naturally gravitate toward anything with a racket, so I love checking out the badminton and table tennis. I also enjoy the athletics and swimming because the competition is intense even without the US or China. It’s fun seeing smaller nations shine and grab medals they’d struggle for at the Olympics. 🏅

Nah, it's getting zero press or air time in the US as far as I can tell. I can't say I disagree with the format of excluding the huge, wealthy, superpower countries from the party to keep them from walking away with all the glory. Enjoy.
I'm not. But my dad is a huge sports nerd, so I know OF them. I don't know when they take place though. I don't know if they even show them. We have the Pan-American games though which are similar
I only keep track of the track events...
oh, and swimming sometimes... 'cause I got Aussie friends
No , I'm in Sweden not somewhere that broadcasts tgis.
It's far more important than the Olympic Games because we fairly often win this one.
I last watched the Commonwealth Games in 1978.
common wealth people can join the British army. I wanted to get a British passport as my granny was British to join. Ireland left the commonweath games.
No Handsome Older Black Cowboy Games? A pity !!!
Good luck 🏴
