Boxing was my jam before kickboxing blew up and MMA came along.
Some of the bigger matchups are still interesting, but both kickboxing and MMA have surpassed boxing for the most interesting fights by and large.
It also became impossible to not recognize the politics and fixes that ruined boxing.

Boxing is intense, beautiful, and brutal at the same time 🥊
I love it as a test of discipline, conditioning, and mental toughness. The strategy reminds me of tennis: footwork, timing, reading your opponent, controlling distance.

But it’s also dangerous, especially with repeated head shots, so I respect anyone who steps in the ring and takes the safety side very seriously.
