My friend i haven't texted him since August 2017 i left kik i haven't seem him in like almost 2years since we was younger teens even tho im older i always worry about him or Hows he been since i saw or contact him i know im not blocked cause i could see his pic and username but it says he been on kik for 1,145 days i have used kik in years lol

Ok, Kik is saying e hasn't opened Kik in ages, so probably inactive. Regarding a D that's faded Vs a clear D, I beleive it's iPhone specific, I can't really Google and reply on here as my app crashes while using another app, so either Google it, or send me a pm and I'll find you the difference, however it looks like he is gone if you get the disconnected kik thing, it's likely he has the app I stalled with notification s turned off, and never opens it.
