Absolutely.
Social media supposed to be positive but the weight of negative effects are overwhelming and increasing everyday. I don't believe social media is the problem tho, it's about how people start to use it.
We allow our teenagers access to social media early on which impacts their whole personality and character. They learn about filters which can give you fake appearance in order to supposedly look better. They become obsessive about other people's likes and follows and slowly, their self-esteem start to depend on such. They forget how it feels to be in a moment and enjoy it deeply because their mind is all busy about catching the best shots and phrases for social media's attention.
We end up with teenagers who get anxiety for a relationship status update on their boy/girlfriend's facebook. Or people who get depressed for lack of follows and likes. Or people who get panic attack without their phones. Or people who's confidence are entirely depended on what people comment about them in social media.

Absolutely. Just look at how much importance we put to the opinions of a small group of people, and believe the whole world is like that.
We believe there's this huge division between men and women, between the races, that every man is a bitter mgtow and every woman is an ugly feminist, and all because we decide to listen to the noise coming from social media. Leave the internet and you'll see nothing of this is true in real life. Men and women get along, all the races get along, most men aren't bitter mgtows, and most women aren't ugly feminists. Sure, you might encounter some of these weirdos outside, but it's a really small minority.
Absolutely. Sure it seems alright. But just makes it too easy. The lack of effort really communicating with people. Asking questions. Meeting face to face. Why am I going to swip just to read about them? I want people to share what they want to share with me, really engage in conversation. Where’s the mystery when they can easily see all the shit you spill online? No fun in that. And no effort really. Its caused a lot of problems with relationships as well. From personal experience. Plus I love my privacy and I don’t care to see other people’s lives. If I’m really interested in knowing I will ask them myself. Simple as that. And now with online bullying n shit. Yup people more with depression. Not all of course but it’s gotten higher.
I don't have facebook. mostly because of im lazy. And never signed up for any other because again. I honestly do just fine in the real world.
But from what I see most people around me do seem to be mad about something they read on the INTERWEB.
My little brain is steady trying to comprehend why they are upset at the same time
. its just words... by people you don't know. So i do agree.

way too much... it should have been a bit of fun for when you had some free time but it dominates dailly life instead for so many people... because i come from the time before i can deffinitely say that the worst thing social media has done is actually teach people to be less sociable
For sure. It's getting ridiculous. Social Media outlets, such as Instagram and Snapchat, have become priorities in people's lives these days. It has become a place of worship even. Instagram models, influencers, social media based relationships et cetera are now a way of a superficial and vain lifestyle.
Yes social media is a bad thing it has a way to bring people down and make them realise what they don't have my life is infinitely better since I got rid of social media.
Yes! Too many people have identity crises and mental health problems because of this
