Social media is a product of people and people should be taken seriously cause they could marry you or kill you or save your life etc...

I agree with both people in the picture. While people make social media what it is, social media giants, like Twitter and Facebook, also promote misinformation (ACTUAL misinformation; usually Liberal propaganda), hatred, and lies. You can argue most people shouldn't fall for it, but most people are honestly stupid and easily manipulated. The only way to win, is to get off of social media. Or at least, use it less often. GAG is the only social media site I'm on and I realize how silly this site is, at times.

Because it does cause serious mental issues. Such as addiction issues and a warped sense of reality. So people don't start out taking social media seriously, it can and does change a persons thinking to the point that does twist their mind tell they do take it seriously. Hence the entire reason being start believing what they read on it as the honest truth, despite there being no evidence to back it up.

If you have some free time you can grab some physiological studies on the negative impact of social media and dive down that rabbit hole. But chances are once you start down that rabbit hole, you will start using social media less and you might end up taking yourself off social media all together. Like I did about four years ago.

During these modern times, social media has become a part of our everyday lives. Similar to books, magazines, news, and so on.. sadly, social media has become one of the tools to influence an individual's mind. That's why people should practice awareness on how to differentiate social media and real life.
